The vast majority of cases in our fan base aren't a lack of respect for Les, rather a realization that his time is up.

That would be because they look at the whole body of work, not one game or 3 games.

man, he's not their football coach. and Les has a lot of respect locally. almost everyone respects the man and many respect the coach even tho he's really fallen off.

Exactly. I respect Les....I just dont like the direction this program has been heading.

College football fans outside of LSU have very little respect for Les Miles as a coach. I talk to them.

Yeah, listen to them... Most of them know less about the LSU program than the posters on this board. And that is saying a lot.

They're paid to fill airtime. The narrative is simple, find the easiest most obvious talking point and run with it. The all have the same stat sheet from some intern that reads 110-32, won NC in 2007. No need to do any really journalism, just parrot.

Les won 100 games at LSU, and he certainly doesn't "deserve" to be fired. How many was he favored in though? A lot more than 100. Les is a great recruiter, but we're not firing Belichick or Lombardi here.

U need to check your numbers. I bet he hasn't lost as many as he was favored by. No losses to any non conference games in regular season. That's pretty fricking good. Look around SEC and every other coach has worse losses

Gee what do Danielson and Lundquist think? Maybe we should go with their decision?

The same media that criticized Les constantly, said he only won with Saban's players, called him a moron, exploded every mistake he ever made, and declared that he would never succeed at LSU and were constantly astounded when he did? That media?

Yeah, well, who cares what they think?

Or maybe they look st it objectively and rationally...that the LSU program had FOUR top 5 finishes prior to les miles. They now have 8. Or maybe its that during his tenure he led the LSU program to more wins than any other team. I think a change is good but the fools on here that try to argue his success are ridiculous. Its not like LSU is a bottom dweller. There is a reason bama takes its bye week before LSU every year.

Les Miles is very respectable as a man.

As a football coach, he has lost his way.

The media is unable to separate the 2 things, so they are lampooning LSU and its fans on national TV. It's unfortunate, but frick them.

Agreed...but at this point its moot.

I like the first part of your sentence better.

No we need change...I just get sick of the idiots that think he was never good at LSU. Saban was better and had better talent...but ain't many other schools we can say that about.

I believe in karma. I hope it don't get us.
