I don't remember Diarse catching a 49 yard pass from Jennings against MSU. When was that? I must have turned the tv off. When was that?

His stats are very misleading. Most of the throws he misses are throws that need to be made due to the offense. There's a reason it seems like he can't complete short passes. This is because when we most need them it doesn't happen.

Diarse didn't have any catches against Miss. St. Dural had both the 22 yard and the 49 yard catches.

Dural, not Diarse.

My mistake.

So if Jennings isn't the problem...blame Miles?

I made a mistake. I missed Mett's 2 TD passes in the Idaho game.

The OP has been corrected.

Nevertheless, Jennings' efficiency is less than .2 lower than Mett's efficiency.

Most of Jennings' number are better than Mett's numbers for Mett's first four games. The difference in efficiency is negligible.

Most of your posts in this thread are still bullshite. Your initial posts in this thread display an alarming ignorance about QB efficiency. You did point out that I missed two of Mett's TDs. That was my only error in the OP.

However, I am glad that I had the opportunity to educate you about QB Efficiency, QB Rating, Passer Rating, and the QBR.

Right now, I think the team lacks experience. It will come.

So it's a recruiting/timing/player management issue then...blame Miles?

This is all wonderful. Stats are so cool, and over the long haul they actually begin to tell you something. Any fool can tell you the arm strength of Mett vs AJ. Yes, I know this is hindsight, but people are making arguments in Nashville that Mett should start for the Titans. Obviously, Mett is older than AJ, but do any of you believe that fans in an NFL city will be clamoring for AJ to start.

Well shite! If arm strength is THE determining factor for QB success, then I don't know why LSU even thought about wasting their time with Jennings. And if TITAN fans are calling for ZM to start solely because of his arm strength (and not the fact that their current starter has never produced or been able to stay healthy), then dammit, that should tell you something about AJ. Those fans have SEEN IT ALL in their team's illustrious history dating way back to 1997.

NFL history is full of QBs with big-arms that could not play a lick (Russell, Boller, Leaf, George, etc.). College football has even more. The problem is that you never heard of those guys because they didn't even get on the field.

I don't have any issue with BH starting so we can see what he can do. But to make definitive statements that he is infinitely better based on essentially no evidence is asinine. Go back and look at some of the many TD post from 2008 where there was a certain strong-armed, athletic Freshman QB who had all the makings of being a big time star.

El oh ehl

LEE had a 146.7 in his first 4 games of 2008.

Are you claiming AJ, i.e., you, are less than a pt better than Lee?

Of course.
But to be fair, when things go well, compliment him.
You can do that, can't you?
You can be objective?

I think Harris is very talented. Although, Harris had some glaring rookie mistakes in the first three games, he played well in the MSU game. Harris earned more playing time.

I am very happy to support Harris in whatever capacity he can help LSU, including if that means he starts this week against NMSU and/or for the rest of the season.
