Hope he sets the WR while at LSU.

I feel like he’s probably gonna go pro after this year. He probably just wanted to get that NCAA record

Pole vaulting terrifies me. I could only imagine coming back down onto the pole
A few weeks ago a friend’s son vaulted, but did not penetrate to the box. He broke the cardinal rule and let go of the pole (you’re supposed to hang on and it will set you down easy). As he fell he straddled the bent pole, which snapped back and hit him in the nuts. Twas BAD!

Wow! What an accomplishment. This collegiate record may last a long, long time.
His 10 points for winning the event at the Championships seems like an automatic. LSU could sure use that every year.

Great day for their family. Both are LSU legends there’s no question. I hoped another tiger would break the SEC record for hits but now that’s out of reach I kind of want Furniss to keep the record. He and Larson were my idols growing up.

LSU has world class legacies that actually come back to LSU. That says a lot about that place. The university and athletic department is about to reach new heights.

Why aren't people like you on Swamp People as examples?
First off, I haven’t lived in the shite hole state in decades. Secondly, it was a joke hence I kid with the laughing emoji.
I can’t stand Ben Simmons, but if Duplantis leaves like it is anticipated he will, then what will we do? Will we claim him?

I mean considering mondo isn’t bitching out in his team like Simmons did I’m sure it’ll be fine

The Moo State guy already shattered this record.

His uncle Tommy is a sales rep at my wife’s hospital. He talks about Mondo all the time

If anyone is interested, at that height, Mondo would have won the silver medal in the 2016 Olympics, and very close to gold.

Also scary is the thought of the pole breaking while you are vaulting.....happened to me a couple of times.
Had a chance to vault with Mondo and his sister years ago when he was 8 years old, I believe, and his sister was 5 or 6 where several coaches brought their “students” for a vaulting get together. I was 62 or 63 at the time. Both Mondo and his sister broke existing world records for their respective ages at that meet, although it was not an official meet and their accomplishments didn’t count. Both Duplantis kids showed the the focus and determination then you see on Mondo’s face now when he is going down the runway.
