If she can legitimately earn a spot, more power to her.

If she is better than any of the kickers we have on the team now, Good for her, but they have been doing this a LOT longer than she has, and if she is ever close to them, they suck !

What is everyone so scared of? Its a freaking win-win situation. Its positive press for LSU, she is one sexy arse gal and if she does actually kick a fg or make a tackle in the field its something our rivals will never live down.

Plus, what I have yet to have seen mentioned, is if she actually beats out someone for a roster spot, i'm not sure we would have wanted that person anyhow.

and I want to see her with that eye-black on!!

We all know she's not a good FG kicker and I don't see the problem letting her on just for publicity. If she wasn't hot it'd be a different story. She could be LSU's Erin Andrews. I'd put Erin ahead of Mo on the Budweiser scale though.

I am the type of guy that has no kids because he is in his mid 20's. I am also the type of guy that would put his kid in a school that would not allow him to be held back

It's completely asinine to ask a woman to compete at a lower level of competition simply because she is a woman.

Like telling a guy he can't compete at all or at a lower level because he is a guy?

Equal rights ain't a one way street

But if there were an outlier who can compete with the men, she should have the chance if she chooses.

ahhhh so what you are saying is, you like women, do not want equality, you want fairness. Your logic would be based on the number who qualify, and not the principle behind allowing the sexes to commingle in sports. Because significantly more men would qualify to play women's sports, than women to play men's sports the entire premise is not fair although each sex would be getting equal treatment...interesting, interesting

Why do some men feel that it't their duty to define the role of all women in culture? If it doesn't tread on your liberty, step aside and let ALL people lead the life they want to lead!
I see, lol

We don't want equality in sports, women don't want equality in sports

I don't care whether or one or two girls play on a men's team, just give another reason other than rights! and equality!

There's a lot of butthurt misogynists in here.

RAH RAH....GO MAKE A SANDWICH AND GET ME A BEER BEFORE JOHNNY CARSON COMES ON.

What the frick is the matter with her trying out? She's a big competitor and loves LSU and represents it well. She would be vying for a walk on spot and likely wouldnt even see the field.

Without going through 9 pages of dribble.
If she takes up a football scholly I'm totally against it, unless she can make 50 yard FG's consistently, then I'm totally for it.

this thread is almost as bad as the ones where random redneck_LSUfan003 calls black athletes "thugs" for getting into a bar fight or something minor. you know they mean something other then thug but are afraid to say it.

So is this post. You race/gender police think you have more discernment regarding human intent than anyone in the world. I support her effort in what she is doing, but that shite you write is ridiculous

Maybe my statements last night were a bit strident. I still absolutely hate the idea of integrating women into football in any capacity. I don't like opening the door. The contact rules are already changing enough (many for the better). Women are, on average, far weaker and less sturdy than men. Take Mo. She's an elite athlete compared to 99.8% of the people in this country. But just about any average guy could knock her out cold. That's why nearly every physical competition in the world has male and female divisions. Swimming, track, golf, soccer, etc.

And I don't want to hear any shite about women not having a football option. Many men's sports went by the wayside to accomodate title 9 and get better representation for women in varsity athletics.

I'm frankly a bit shocked that most you guys are taking the "I'm so modern and objective" route and pretending that this isn't bullshite.

That isn't the route I am taking. If she is good enough, don't see why she shouldn't be given a shot.
