I thought a Boxtard (n) was loosely defined as one who is extremely enthusiastic about LSU baseball and spends considerable time at Alex Box Stadium

I just really admire people who stay and make the most of their time where they are, get their degree while they're in college for free, and don't get ahead of themselves for a payday.
Or you're just selfish and want guys to stay because it makes the team better even if it's directly against their best interests. That's basically been your entire argument in this thread.

I put my assessment of the draft risks in the recruiting class in a thread I started on the sec rb. We're going to have an awesome hitting class make it to campus. I'm a little scared about some of the pitchers at the top, but I'm hoping zack Hess wants to go the gausman route and play two years before going pro.

Didn't you know that the possibility of winning a college championship is more important than your future? Especially if you're a first rounder. All those idiots leaving don't know what they're doing. Ben Simmons? Hack. Todd Walker? Can't believe they're going to retire his jersey. The bum. LF? If he leaves after this year, I'm burning his jersey. I don't own one but I'll buy it just to watch the flames and cry about what could have been had I been a college athlete.

that extra year of college is worth the money given up.

Go check out the signing bonuses seniors get and then look at what juniors drafted near them get and let me know if you still believe that

You realize leverage only applies to someone who needs money, right? Kramer does not need money, his stock won't drop if he has another solid year, he just won't make the signing bonus. Plenty of seniors get drafted early, the only leverage they lose is the money. And if you have plenty of it, that couple hundred grand doesn't matter.

As for number 8, if Krob leaves, Antoine Duplantis will be wearing it for the next 2 years. If not it'll be Kramer then Antoine.

Tyler Moore didn't need the money either. It's not an issue for lots of baseball players. Doesn't mean they won't make a decision where theyre likely to get more of it.

Happens all the time.

Pretty positive Kramer will be back next season wherever he's drafted on Day 3

That is a good point for Kramer. He's already loaded a higher bonus won't mean as much to him

Tyler had extenuating circumstances as to why he left, it had nothing to do with the 263,000 that he got. He could have received a case of Powerade and a bucket of balls and he was gone that year regardless. Bad example unless you know the whole story there, which I guarantee you do not.

You don't think I know what was going on? I just gave you an example of where guys leave early even when they don't need the money. You're proving my point.

Please elaborate? I have read on here but no one seems to ever say why? I know CPM didn't seem to like him

People think you don't get drafted as high as a senior, which would make being a junior leverage for something other than money. After the new CBA this isn't true, in fact now they draft more seniors early to save their bonus pool for late round steals or Hail Mary offers.

Who doesn't think seniors don't get drafted high?!? They draft them high to pay for juniors and HS kids drafted lower... Again, Money.
