Lol hell not. It was time for him to go. That offense was horrible. It still gives me night mares.

It was time.

Unfortunately we did not have a competent AD in place to handle the whole thing.

Everyone loved him because they knew they had a chance to beat the second most talented team in the SEC because their coach turned into a doofus and lost his edge

It's crazy that all he had to do last offseason was fire Cameron and put Steve freaking Ensminger in charge of the offense and we would have been a one-loss team last year.

I wish that you would now be missing him about 2-3 years longer than you are.

I like having a coach who does not require an interpreter.

I have to agree you have a pretty good point there.

Lol.

HS offense in LA is but the best player at QB and let him run around.

It truly was a Tale of Two Les's...Miles was never the same after 2008 and all the pick sixes.

Wish him well, but it was past time for him to move on.

He just seemed to have changed so much over his tenure

From fiery, daring, risk taking

To smashing into a brick wall over and over with an underdeveloped QB and calling it an offense and him being clueless

I do wonder if those rumors of a stroke/brain injury were true

If you had to pick one single player that had the most influence on miles' tenure it probably is Lee. Between that '08 season and pulling him at the end of '11. Definitely could be a feature in a "what could've been" documentary

100% agree. Edit: Don't want it to sound like I'm bagging on Lee. Jarrett Lee was thrust into the starting QB role before he was ready. And he was never properly developed after that.

But yes, the pivotal player in the down slide of Les Miles' fortunes was Jarrett Lee.

Missing Les Miles is a fools errand. We're in better hands now.

And by that I mean a head coach who manages the program, hires great assistants, and lets them actually do their jobs instead of micromanaging them and screwing everything up!

Agreed. Totally miss the Les Miles Summer Stories. The most dull Media Day weeks in a while.
