He's actually very good at this, except when he misses a ball trying to do it.

So late in the game, Guidry is having to compensate, and when you have to compensate, you lose your edge and give up bombs
That's nonsense. Guidry hung a breaking ball, that's not compensation.
I'm not here to defend Arrambide's catching, but our pitching woes are not on the catcher.

It's definitely a factor. The catching is making it much harder on our pitchers. In hindsight we should've gotten a vet out of the portal to split time. Arrambide has come a long way but he still has a ways to go. However if he makes the same level of improvement that he made over last season then he will he fine by summer

I saw a coaching video before the season, and the coach was harping on the glove sweep to steal a strike. It was excessive to me. They lose a lot of balls with this tactic. It’s an agressive flip of the glove. Just catch the ball.
I think the umps see that and call the ball. But, it is too much glove movement and leads to dropped balls.

He’s actually not. He tries to frame too much and tries to bring every pitch back to the middle of the plate and it screws up the umpire on pitches on the corners. It’s too exaggerated

Yep MLB pitchers that have confidence in their catcher to catch a ball that they bounce up there to get a swing changes a lot of things. Yes we have up too many walks, ump wasn't giving the low fast ball, all that hurt. Bid Bide put men in scoring position with his awful approach to catching
