Minnesota 8 vs UGA 1 FINAL LSU softball goes to MN for the Super Regional

LSU will play Friday through Sunday if necessary.

Thursday/Friday/Saturday:
Alabama - Texas
Florida St. - Oklahoma St.
Friday/Saturday/Sunday:
Florida - Tennessee
UCLA - Michigan/JMU
Oklahoma - Northwestern
Washington - Kentucky
Arizona - Ole Miss
Minnesota - LSU

This game started on Saturday but was suspended because of weather.
The Georgia vs Drake is being played on ESPN3. May be on TV but I have no way to tell.
It is 6-2 Georgia in the bottom of the 5th. Drake coming up to bat.
If Georgia wins they will have to beat Minnesota twice. If Minnesota wins the regional LSU goes to Minneapolis for the Super Regional. If Georgia wins they come to Baton Rouge.

Yes and Minnesota would have to win once. Drake or Georgia would have to beat MN twice.
IF Georgia wins this game and beats MN in the next I don't know if the deciding game would be today or tomorrow.
Georgia now leads Drake 7-2 in the top of the 6th.

Of course they can.
Minnesota was 0-5 against the SEC this season UNTIL they beat Georgia 2-1 on Saturday.
They lost to:
Ole Miss 1-3, neutral site
Tennessee 2-4, neutral site
Alabama twice 0-1, 2-7, Tuscaloosa
Florida 0-2, Gainesville
Every one of those teams are in Super Regionals. MN is a good team but I think Georgia can hang with them.

That's pretty tough task for Georgia having to win a triple header to advance.

The current game was suspended on Saturday. It started today with UGA up 5-2 in the top of the 5th. So it will be more like a double header as far as innings played.
Like a double header where the first game had 3 extra innings.

Georgia leads 7-2 in the bottom of the 7th (last inning in softball). There are runners on 1st and 3rd with one out for Drake.

Actually less innings than Texas Tech played on Saturday unless they go in to extra innings.

If Georgia wins this game and it doesn't go to extra innings the Georgia-Minnesota game will be at noon on ESPNU and ESPN3.
Two outs for Drake now with runners on 1st and 3rd.

Georgia beat Drake 7-4.

Georgia has to win twice. Minnesota only needs to win once.
