Something about him... he always kind of had a screw loose. Kind of a different guy.

Given the state of our rb's, I would say not going hard after ettiene was huge. He would be our starting RB next year, obviously

Did he slow play Dillon(wr)..I don't recall that process

I was leading the charge to get rid of Miles and even to support O but now you're just being a retard. This dumbass decision and the outcome of this football team is completely on O and has nothing to do negatively with Miles

Inability to beat teams with a strong front 7 that can plug the running lanes.

And yet he got fired and won ONLY ONE NC title... With ALL THAT talent.....

It IS what it is...........

Facts are facts...............

Believe it or not, it takes a special skill to sell and recruit as well as he did for years. You can ask a lot of people who played for him, one of the main reasons they came to LSU was because of him. Kids would run through a wall for him

Now I definitely think we should have more than one title but far and few in between can say they have made multiple national title appearances

We are definitely much further away from that now with this new group

It wasn’t recruiting, lack of talent or bringing O in to run the DL; it’s his unwillingness to evolve the offense.

Kragthorpe getting sick and Cameron obviously not being able to teach fundamentals killed Miles employment.

He couldn’t develop or find a coach to properly develop QBs: Jefferson, Lee, Jennings and Harris (all were talented 4stars coming out of high school) never could get any consistency or confidence.

Mett came in polished and had arguably the best two receivers in the country to throw to.

We wanted a change because Saban committed to changing the offense by hiring guys like Kiffin.

Miles simply wouldn’t do it.

That being said, Alleva handled the whole thing like shite and should have either fired Miles after 2015 or 2016.

Now we have O and the Canada experiment that blew up in our faces.

He could not win the West over that stretch. That was my point. It was the pitiful offensive games that LSU ran out onto the field that undid Miles. That is an informed opinion. The teams did not play better as the season wore on. Les Miles was a gross underachiever.

he has the most accomplished tenure in lsu history.
he has as many top 5 finishes as Saban,Mac, and Dietzel combined.
he has as many top 10 finishes from 2005-2016 as the previous 40 YEARS OF LSU FOOTBALL.

i swear some of you have no fricking clue about the history of lsu football.

By far his record....LSU hired O because he was a better coach and was tired of the Miles offense/8-9 win seasons. And yes that's sarcasm. From par to par to who knows this year.

His offensive players were grossly more talented than his offensive output. He underachieved. Our teams from 2006-2013ish were as talented, if not more, than Bama has been during their span of 5 national championships. Miles underachieved whether you like it or not

I knew that was you RickDaddy. Most accomplished. Whatever. All those statistical 'facts' you love are the stuff of a loser mentality. Miles was awful given the talent at LSU. Now, that said, Coach Corndog will be much, much worse.

Miles won the West, SEC title, and played for a NC in his last 5 years.

Again the period that undid Miled had more wins than any other LSU coach's 5 year stretch.
2013(#1) and 2015 are both top 5 in ypg in LSU history.

How do you be a gross underachiever and have the highest win % in LSU FB?

“Miles was 10-10”

Why don’t we try to put that in some type of context.

From 2012-2015 LSU was 2nd in the west for overall conference wins and 4th in the SEC.

While not being what we want for LSU, trying to pretend that it was some terrible record that necessitated firing is more than a little of a reach when taken into context with what the rest of the SEC West was doing.

There is a little doubt that Miles allowed his own record for success to diminish, but this Idea that he had to go at all costs for the betterment of LSU football is simply naïve and without much understanding of what was going on within the rest of the SEC.

I had little problem with the release of miles, but the level to which we sunk for his replacement was stunningly Inappropriate. And this, anyone but Miles BS, shows a severe lack of college football commonsense .

having the most successful tenure ever at a top 15 all time program is LOSER MENTALITY? what do you call every other LSU coach? im sorry facts about his lsu tenure shite all over your opinion.

as far as talent goes. you do realize he had to acquire that talent right? let me guess, lsu recruits itself.

10-win crowd, you do realize LSU for decades only played 6-8 games???? So, before you start adding words like, "In the history of LSU football..'' DO YOUR FREAKIN' HOMEWORK and count the games LSU played each year before 1940..... 10 wins don't do jack........ yes, get off my freakin' lawn lazy sneauxflakes.

I have to disagree with this, RickDaddy. This is your opinion which is not shared by many if any others.
