Jay Roth basically changed his offense after 20 years because of this kid. He was just a monster and prob one of the 3 best offensive players to ever play at the school. A school that has been very fruitful to LSU. Miles just totally missed that one

Well, besides a RB or two, we were really pumping out defenders.

What was the time frame here?

I don’t remember exactly. I think the camp was summer before his Jr year. Several SEC schools had already offered. Miles never did officially offer before he was fired in Sept. I think O offered after signing day but I’d have to go look

For damn near 2 decades Rummel had a D-1 RB carrying the rock, save a year or 2.

Sounds about right, though his timeline doesn’t have it for some reason. They aren’t always right but it lists Ole Miss as his only SEC offer that Summer . Also at that point he would have been 16 with 21 high school receptions for 361 yards. Roth must have changed gears in 2016.

He was tearing up 7 on 7 & camps and such. The offense at rummel changed that next year

Meh, they ALL frick up stuff sometimes. In spite of what the 100 x Super Bowl winning posters' declare (in hindsight of course), coaching isn't an exact science.

Nah. That’s a sign of respect. Can’t blame the Dad.

If this is true (I have no reason to think it’s not, this is on Miles and his staff. )

Coaches make these calls (switching positions) all of the time. In fact you have to make these calls. I'm willing to bet it's worked out for him. far more often than it didn't.

He's had to piss off quite a few recruits but they took it at prospered. We never hear about the position changes that work out.

No one complained about devin white being changed to LB. he wanted to be a running back in college but coaches convinced him otherwise.

Lester earl is tied closely to rummel so this is a personal vendetta against miles for this. No credit though for the other Evals that worked out. That’s why it is hard to take guys like him serious when they “evaluate” miles. They literally are blinded by weird irrational hatred.

The one thing I’ve never bagged on Miles for is recruiting. You are mind numbingly stupid

There’s no vendetta here. Chase’s dad literally tells you what happened. I’m not going out of my way to trash Miles you dumbfrick

Even worse...
Miles wanted Brandon Harris to play QB.

I was there post Parquet so i missed all the good RBs (we had good ones but no D1 prospects)

Althought i did see Craig Steltz come in the 4th quarter v Jesuit and rush for like 170

But i Chase may be one of the first skill offensive players every drafted.
