of course it is...it shows how flawed your logic is
even if not bet, what odds do you give Lee to win the starting job?
JJ has a lead right now, so i'd give it 60-40 (maybe 65-35)
what say you? and remember, to this point you have basically given Lee 0% chance of winning the job...so, is it still 0%? if it is, me giving you 10% is a pretty good deal for you if you really believe your previous statements
its put up or shut up time

Who do I think will be taking the first snaps in the washington game?
JJ, barring injury.

okay, so i'll put up $5 and you put up $95
if $5 isn't worth your time, than what is $100?
if thats the case, i'll put up $100 (20x5) and you put up $1900 (20x95)?
if you really believe that, this should be a no brainer

and again, i'm not saying i think Lee will win the job
i am saying the same things i have said all along
it is WAYYY too early to tell and you don't have access to nearly the amount of info you would need in August, much less March
i just believe in the odds i would be getting

I don't know the future, and never claimed to know it.
but as a guess on a messageboard, I would guess that jefferson would be the starting QB for LSU next year.

starting QB odds if JJ gets badly injured and cant play all season.
Shepard 45%........JL 25%.......Chris Garrett 25%....other 5%
We would most likely have to switch the offense to a simpler wildcat formation type offense with Shepard running it. Occasionaly bringing in JL or Garrett (whichever one wins the backup spot) for a change up to a more conventional type offense.

Watch for chris garretts odds to increase through spring and fall camp. The previous odds given are the projected odds for the end of fall camp with an injury to JJ, not the current odds.

What if Jarret Lee suddenly gets the 'Eye of the Tiger' and starts nailing passes left and right, underneath, and down the field. Moving the ball, touchdowns, no interceptions. Shows great field generalship. Regains his confidence and the confidence of his teammates, coaches and the fans. I really hope that happens as any LSU fan would, why wouldn't they. It just doesn't seem likely but it could happen.

yes you have...numerous times
and no, i am not going to dig through hundreds of your posts to find one
if you deny you have said something to the affect like "JJ is the starter in 2009" then you are just a flat out liar

thats a backpeddle if i have ever see one, but i guess a backpeddle is betetr than risking $1900
MOST people here areb't contesting that issue
most people agree it will likely be JJ, BUT most are not suggesting the competition is as closed as you keep saying...even the head coach

why not? didn't you just watch mathew stafford do it?
similar styles, stafford has a better arm, but lee had a better freshman season.. stafford was recruited a bit higher, but lee comes from a football fmialy that understands how to deal with adversity
why does it seem unlikely? where are you pulling this info from?

I'm pulling this info from watching JJ play OK against Ark, his first game as a true freshman, and play very well, winning the MVP of the chic-fil bowl his 2nd game, displaying size and atheletic ability, a strong fairly accurate arm, abililty not to stare down recievers, find his secondary recievers, improvisational skills (the underhand pass), field generalship, confidence in himself, from his teammates, and from his coaches. All this in his second game, a big game, as a true freshman.
Sometimes a person is put in a situation in life that seems imposible to handle, that they are no where ready for, but they manage to rise up and exceed expectations other times they don't. JJ did , JL didn't.
JL performed as you might expect a redshirt freshman to perform (very eratically ) when thrown into circumstances that were unexpected and he wasn't yet ready to handle. He will improve and it still might just come together for him in a great way. Who knows.

you make on sense what so fuking ever.
first you say RS starts over JL if JJ goes down..
then you say watch out for CG
then you say something about eye of tiger and JL.
this QB battle (barring injury) is a 2 man race between JL and JJ.

thats alot of words to read but has very little to do with lee's ability to regain his confidence and the confidence of his teammates and coaches. the fans, well, they're a different story but fans prove year in year out how irrational and dumb they are

that's not what Les Miles says in the Times-Picayune article linked in the original post. He seems to indicate it's a two man battle between JJ and Shep, and lumps CG and JL together.

no, thats just the way it was written...even some sports writers are concluding RS to be the guy...even when miles tells them different in an interview
miles discussed how much pt Sheppard would get and using him in different positions, but the QB battle is between JL and JJ with Rs competing with both of them for his fair share of snaps for the "wild tiger"

I love how when ever the people supporting JJ say something bad about lee the lee lovers call them stupid and not sensible. Yet if it's the other way around with the lee lovers say negative stuff about jj(which usually has very little truth too it) all should listen and agree like it is the word of god
