Miles used the words "painful" to describe his QB play. It's clear he understands this squad's main weakness. I feel confident this coaching staff will get the train back on the right tracks quickly.

This isn't new, it's been going on for years. It's been clear for years. We didn't just stumble upon bad QB play in 2014.

It's news that Miles himself is straight out saying it sucks.

Les is realizing he doesn't have unlimited job security

Plus, I really think he gets it that his LSU football program is perceived to be behind:
• Bama
• Georgia
• Auburn
• Possibly Ole Miss, Miss St. and Arky

Today is a day of firsts for Miles. Never thought he would refer to something under his control as painful. It's good though.

The first step is admitting you have a problem.

dang..someone beat me to it.

Honestly think this season, Les woke up to a few realities. Will be interesting to see what develops and changes over the next 8 months or so.

Miles is going to retire and Coach O is going to take over
that is why they hired him
Coach O kept talking about being a head coach during the press conference

Who were the QBs that LSU signed that no one else wanted? Who were the alternatives that LSU chose not to take? Please tell us what LSU did wrong recruiting QBs from 2005 through the present. Yes, there were mistakes, but at the time the decisions were made most thought the decisions were good decisions.

during the season, yes. just like a pitcher in baseball, the QB needs confidence and "bravado" to do their job. the offseason is a time to doubt, work and practice so improvement can take place.

Also called the QB issues "misery."

We would think that we’re through the QB misery, development if you will

That's a huge difference. I think he knows the fanbase needed to see some displeasure out of him.

Admitting it was painful and doing what needs to be done to fix it are totally different things. However, I will admit Miles never described the JJ years as painful though they were extremely painful. Maybe he realizes or has been told to realize that something must be done. We can't do JJ2.

Yes I have made the mistake of thinking that since 1/9

Lee?

Miles wants a guy that can run. Period. He will run off every competent QB that he doesn't think can use his legs. Time will tell if the transfers actual amount to anything.

It goes along with Les's recruiting philosophy. Get great athletes and plug them in and let them make plays--Mingo, Honey Badger, shepherd, etc. This would work at QB if we were running West Virginia, Arizona, or Oregon's system but not cam's NFL offense.

This is how I feel as well. Maybe this will light a fire under his arse and he will actually get some results next season.

The first signs of recovery are admitting you have a problem. Come on Les you can fix this with all the talent at LSU.

This is what he is saying. The issue is Miles and staff ability to develop a competent QB. Or at least that's how I'm interpreting it. Fact is, Miles has a history of QB busts and over the course of ten years, I find it hard to believe that they all were busts.

Face it, only two of the QBs, Perrilloux and Mettenberger, had skills that got them serious looks from the NFL. The others had massive flaws that only became apparent at LSU.

. In other words he usually just flat out lies. Seriously the man is a liar plain and simple. Somebody posted something about an old time media guy and he said that Miles is the most deceptive coach has LSU had when it comes to the media and public relations and I beleive it. There really is no reason or benefit for it.

With all of the focus on Steele and BeBe on the road nobody is watching the left hand... where is Cam and what is he up to. Maybe he is trying to come up with a BM!
