You just have to love the guy. If Miles wants to Coach this is a good way to ease towards that. He may wanna just do what is best for LSU and bring an end to the buy out. At EVERY and I mean every point Miles has been a class act. I expect nothing short of that from him. I have always hoped that he would end up being the AD.

We wish you and your family nothing but the best. He deserves it.

I love Miles, and hope he does well, but make no mistake.., he did this for financial reasons, not because of his love for LSU.

Les made $45-$50 million off of LSU since we hired him before the 2005 season.

He is doing this because he likely has another head coaching contract coming.

Or perhaps LSU challenged the idea that he was seriously pursuing other opportunities.

Alleva should have been gone long before Les.

He could have and should have held out for a larger portion of the buyout agreement. He wasn't selfish and did the LSU a great service buy taking the small amount. No one should question his character and loyalty.

No but he is about to take anther job and he wouldnt recieve anymore buyout. He actually probably got the best of LSU. I know the Les lover hate to realize he actually did want to coach and only the worst school in FBS would hire him

Better chance that he just played Alleva. Miles will be 1.5 ahead now. Gotta love Les!

I'm glad it was settled and got LSU off the hook.

But don't think for 1 second this was to help LSU.

He's about to take a job and that would have eliminated his buyout from LSU.

This was for his financial benefit, not LSU

Lsu doesn’t benefit financially from not owing him 5.5 million anymore?

Do you know how to math?
