What does the LSU head coach get out of a loss? a couple hundred grand.

What does an LSU player get out of a loss? Free Food

What does an LSU fan get out of a loss? absolutely nothing, actually less than absolutely nothing because they spend money so are in the negative.

The LSU player puts out a lot more than an LSU fan for what they both get out of it so booing the LSU player is bad form.

The LSU head coach does NOT put out a lot more than an LSU fan for what they both get out of it so putting a for sale sign in the LSU head coaches yard is good form.

So the fan stands to lose more when the team comes up short than does the coach? Are you really putting this to paper?

and all people wanna bitch about is the student section (mostly) booing.

WHy would anyone have a problem with students booing fellow students?

And i personally would never boo at a LSU game at a player, but i could care less if fans boo.
This isn't Obama world where everyone gets a trophy for participating.

I agree with him.

I don't boo and never have. I have yelled 'Miles is an idiot!" countless times, but never boo'ed.

These are the ramblings of an entitled fan, possibly one that eats paint chips.

Being an old guy, I remember when Cholly Mac was on his way out, another season ticket holder sitting behind me was always hollering "help Mac pack".

Next year, same guy hollering "bring Mac back".

There will always be many idiots at the games.

I have NEVER left a LSU football or basketball game until the clock is at zeros.

I love Les. Really. This is the most lucid thing he's ever said. No doubt why the players come here and play there butts off for the man... Still cannot believe we had the ball with a chance to win against State.

Am I the only one that read this like 10 times and still has no fricking clue what it is he's trying to say?

The "entitled fan" argument as a reason for booing is BS. Fans pay for entertainment and if they are not entertained, simply stop coming to games and go to Sea World or something.

With a little more effort, I arrived at this :

Monetizing a loss:
Coach = Still gets paid
Player = At least gets food
Fans = Screwed with a stick (and hence entitled to boo - a hyperbole)

I love Les but I think he miss placed the boos. I wasn't at the game, but, from watching on TV, I got the impression that people were booing Les' decision to keep putting in a QB who was clearly struggling and getting more down on himself with every snap. I didn't think people were actually booing Jennings. Either way its not a classy thing to do. BUT with the way Jennings was playing I don't think theirs anything wrong with fans generally questioning the coach's decision to keep him in.

do you not think that they (along with "We Want Harris" chants) didn't affect Jennings negatively?

I actually like Jennings and think he should split time, but I think this is a ridiculous sentiment. I don't think the booing would do anything to his confidence that the three turnovers weren't capable of doing.
