Myles in 2020 - Best 3 game start to a season in LSU history. Over 60% comp, over 1100 yds, 11 TD, 3 INT.

Ya, nothing like having your starter throw to walk ons to prep for the game in 3 weeks

How y’all are so obsessed with Myles I just don’t know. I’m surprised y’all weren’t calling for him to start over Burrow
He gives the "good ole baws" the warm and fuzzies because he's an outdoors man... I have a theory or two about why they don't like Jayden Daniels

Kind of funny that those 3 games are enough to convince people he’s an elite QB, but Max Johnson just put up a 27/6 TD-INT ratio with us last year on a terrible team and the same people are convinced he’s the worst QB they’ve ever seen
(Not saying max Johnson is great or anything, it’s just funny in comparison)

Damn y’all are just in denial now? Even O wouldn’t take this coaching approach. The guy has taken almost zero first team reps.

It’ll never be ready in time.

Zach Lee still has eligibility. He's been our super double secret weapon, biding his time all these years for the right moment to show up.

Myles hasn't played in close to 2 years. He's not getting any preferential treatment.

not the worst but I still have a hard time getting over how bad his reads were vs Bama that essentially cost them the game

this gets thrown around a lot with zero context
- Those three teams were awful (combined 8-21 that year)
- The defense sucked so bad it took Myles throwing the ball 131 times to compile those stats. For comparison sake, Burrow averaged 35 passing attempts per game in 2019. Myles was at 44 in that three-game stretch.
- Myles' play on 3rd down played a part in the defense struggling. State 5/17, Vandy 4/12, Mizzou 0/10

Myles wasn't just bad in those 3 games, he was horrendous. His sole win was against the worst team in the league - a team that fired their coach that year. In his 2 losses he wasn't even competitive in the 4th quarter. You can shout 1100 yards and 11td's until the cows come home but anyone with a brain can see that MB doesn't meet the standard of LSU qb play

You seem like an expert on the subject.

You absolutely cannot discount how atrocious that defense was. Myles first starts ever, no Joe Brady replaced with a PCG who was way over his head, and having to score a TD pretty much every possession because the defense could stop anyone. He wasn't perfect by any means, but by the Mizzou game he was really showing why he was a top QB coming out of high school. The 3rd down sideline pass he completed to Marshall after scrambling to his right escaping a blitz was a thing of beauty and made me squeal out loud. I think he would have only gotten better if not getting hurt.

#1 Daniels
#2 Nuss
#3 Myles
Doesn’t mean Nuss can’t make a run but if the game was tomorrow #5 is getting the ball. Myles won’t get any higher and probably transfers.

quote:so the coaching staff, which is implementing a brand new offense, is choosing to take reps away from the starter just to give the others a chance to take the starting job???
My take is the coaching staff is letting the other guys have the opportunity to take it away from him.
Come on, man. Schools have a NCAA-mandated limit on how many hours they can practice. They can't waste time on nonsense.
