I know me and some others have said it already, but it needs to be said again. Les Miles allowed dj mccarthy to commit NCAA violations on his watch. This allows LSU to fire him with cause and not have to pay the full buyout.

Now I'm not saying he will be fired but if you are going to after this season is the time to do it because of the violations. How much lsu will have to pay him, I dunno but nearly as much as they would have without the violations.

That being said I believe because of this 9-3 with losses to if, bama, and either aub/ ark/ or om gets him fired. Also there will be quite a lot of good candidates available.

Who do you have in mind? I've always wondered who could replace Miles.

Check back with us when you have had this advice confirmed by a competent attorney. I'm pretty sure we shouldn't be holding our breath.

This is what worries me. Fire him for being incompetent but make damn sure you have someone before you fire him. We DO NOT want to end up like TN having to go to our 4th choice b/c we didn't have our ducks in a row.

NO. Look at how previous Boise St. coaches have performed when taking jobs with BCS schools.

If LSU was going to fire him over the McCarthy violations, it should have been over the past off-season, not one season removed from the violations. Some lawyer would probably have a field day with firing Miles "with cause" over a year later.

FACT: The NCAA investigation into these allegations is currently on-going.

I believe to fire Les with cause for those violations, he would have to been fired shortly after this was discovered and resolved.

this. Not to mention everyone needs to realize that EVERY school has some skeletons in their closet. If we try some BS like that, he's likely to have the last laugh. The best thing to do is tell him to hit the road and give him the money.

I don't need a lawyer to tell me what the contract says, its plain as day in there. Read it.

And my candidates:
Make gruden tell u no first
Make harbaugh tell you no
Then make Paterson from tcu tell u no
Then make del Rio tell you no
Temples coach
Peterson's coach

I could go on but the deal is don't be afraid to be told no. Offer the top guys 4 mill and make them say no, then move on. Don't go cheap and don't be afraid of somebody turning you down. Explain to who ever it is, they should keep Wilson on as r. Cordn. If they want to keep the class intact.
