How do you REALLY believe Miles would be as AD? Just a question. Would he control the football program as much as he did the O when he was coach? Would he be as good at running the athletic dept. as he was at recruiting? How would it be to hire the same man as AD after he was fired as HC?

Where do you people come from?

You do understand than an AD isn’t just a football position right?

I actually think he'd be a great AD. He made some solid hires, some not so great ones too, but more better ones than bad ones when he was the HC.

I do think he genuinely loves this school and BR. I understand it would be for all athletics at the school which goes back to my last statement.

My first guess at the reservations of this would be "will he mess with the football team like he did with the offense when he was the coach?"

I don't think he would. It's probably a long shot anyway but I'd be on board with him as an AD.

You do realize we fired him right? Even in some crazy other universe, why are we entertaining the idea that we would put a fired coach in a higher position?

It’s like this board has been over taken by high schoolers

We're not which is why I said it's a long shot anyway. It's not going to happen so relax.

Yeah, that reminds me. Earlier in his tenure, he seemed to be willing to make changes to fix problems. However, he was insistent on controlling the offense and sticking with the grind it out run game and he brought back BDP even after the disaster of the Co-DC experiment with him.

But the man COULD recruit and always at least had us competitive in the SEC and NC race.

It's not going to happen. I've said it twice now.

Better?

So that means he’s a competent athletic director for a major college?

Not a fan. His time has come.

Let's get some smart individuals to run this program.

It's a hypothetical scenario, so my point means about as much as your point.

If it were to happen, which it will not, I'd be on board. It won't happen so the end.

Okie dokie?

Sounds great

You’re still mindless if you think Les miles running the entire athletic program at LSU is a good idea. He’s a great coach and nothing more. Not directated at you, but a lot of people on this site love to forget that an AD isn’t just a football job

So, beauchristopher, is this a slam on his intelligence?

Labirdman, okay, it's just a hypothetical and we can dialog about it as long as we want. Why try to commandeer the thread?

It won't happen, buddy, so relax. Sheesh.

We're not going to bring back a coach we fired and promote him to AD.

I know, which is why I’m not sure whyyou keep trying to say that against my “hypothetical” suggestions

You also said

quote:

I don't think he would. It's probably a long shot anyway but I'd be on board with him as an AD.

So excuse me for refuting your point

I haven't tried to commandeer anything.

I was asked a question and I answered.

This is just talk, nothing to get worked up over.

Ok, you win.

I know exactly what I said but it's pointless to argue about because it won't happen anyway.

Not sure why you're on me about this.
