How can you people argue with the Dr? He already stated that it's a fact. You can't argue with the facts.

I didn't read the OP because I'm far too busy to read yet another diatribe from a clueless fan, but I do agree with the title.
The last thing I want in a football coach is one who is arrogant. We need someone meek and mild and whose plays are soft and tentative.

The reason the running plays were called was to use up as much of the clock as possible. If they would have passed and not converted or a pick was thrown you would be calling Miles stupid for calling pass plays.
Another first down would have used up a lot more time than running up the middle or off tackle.
And if we were just trying to use up time and let the clock run out, why do you try to kick a field goal on 4th down which uses up very little time. If we make it they can still beat us with a touchdown, which everyone knew they would try for under Saban. When we missed it we gave them good field position.
Why wouldn't you run another play that will run more time off the clock? Or at least pooch kick it and try to pin them as far back as you coudl?

That a cop out dude. Yes I remember the 80's too as I went to LSU in 86. However, this is 2012 and we have wasted talent in 2006, last year, and what appears to be this year. Miles should be CEO and don't get involved in game day decisions, because he cannot handle it!!! Hire somebody who can coach, can speak, and back the frick away.

I don't call it arrogance, CLM needs a personal life coach-- he works out of his skill set and tries to be something he is not.
If he would just be himself-he would be fine
Maybe he reads us ranters TOO much

The only reason Miles puts in the effort he does is because he is in the division of the best coach in college football. Take Saban out of the west and he is content just competing for the West every year. The truth is, LSU is never committed to winning a MNC as much as Bama is. It is going to take a collective effort by some of the SEC coaches to do something about Saban and Bama.
GTFO of here with this dumb bullshite!

Your post, oh wise one, is riddled with inaccuracies.
If "maybe next year" equates to an 11-2 record or better each year, I'll take it.
This fan base is so fricking spoiled it off the charts. The only one worse is Bama.....circle of misery!

You kick the field goal so Bama has to score a TD to win the game instead of being able to kick a field goal and take the game to OT. I've never been a huge Les Miles fan, but I liked the play calling Saturday night for the most part. The fact is if the defense would have stopped Bama on their last drive these discussions wouldn't exist. Why not be happy that we've finally seen something other than the typical vanilla offense we've seen all season? Why find a reason to bitch?

If you look at LSU's last 2 possessions in regulation with the opportunity for victory staring them in the face and the lead what does he do? Runs up the middle for loss or very little gain with game on the line EVERY TIME ..... WTF?

If you are, in fact, a real doctor, than this country is in trouble.
You are assuming that Miles was calling the plays. I have not publicly heard Miles say who called those series.
LSU picked up 3rd and 5, and 3rd and 6 by doing what? Running the ball. Running the clock was a priority. Had he thrown the ball and ended up with an incompletion, UA would have had 30 more seconds.
The fake FG on 4th and 12 was a really bad decision. Other than that, it was a very well called game offensively.
Pretty sad day when 75% of the Rant is more intelligent than a 'doctor'.
