And that would be a valid criticism. Letting Garrett go is not.

it depends on why he let him go
but with our paper thin QB roster with CG, letting him go (especially if he was outright cut) is ballsier than anything miles has done at LSU

So it is 100% fact somewhere in your "reality" that LSU will never win another SEC title if Miles is the coach? You may wish we were there, but I for one and damn glad I do not live in your reality.

This is the problem and it's systemic. He made his bed with Crowton. Crowton can not judge talent and he can't coach worth a shite, he dreams up all these wonderful formations and packages and noone gets it but him. Now the product on the field sucks and kids don't want to play for someone who can't make them better. Until Miles figures this shite out, which I now think he is like Dinardo to stubborn too, we will struggle.

You may be onto something. Crowton is the biggest problem right now at LSU and obviously does not know what type of QB he needs for his system. Does Crowton even coach? I mean, I know he's busy coming up with complicated plays and formations that doesn't involve our best playmaker, but does he teach fundamentals? Techinque? I'm thinking he doesn't. This explains why he does so well his first year, and shitty by his 3rd year.

no excuses need to be made. as usual...you pussies are freaking out over stuff that happens all the time in college sports. the only mistake made was offering RP and thinking that he would hold up his end of the bargain. you pussies need to run down to marshalls...a new truckload of thongs just arrived.

Yep that's my theory and I'm sticking to it. I am losing my posi-tiger status quickly man I don't know what to do. Hell I feel like Crowton I have no identity right now.

to think that a message board gives a public forum for such ignorant, immature, and down out right stupid comments to be made.
yep, crowton's a dumb@$$ he makes more money than anyone on this board calling him dumb. who's the dummy? the one making 500k to coach or the cat at the keyboard?

My favorite poster on this site. People don't understand, that though Miles has had frick ups before, you don't do something like this without some logical reason.
Now..if we don't get Zack Lee..then something is wrong here, but its not time to panic yet.

Miles has been pumping up Lee, could some kind of guarantee been given to him that he will play?? You can't force someone to come to school with the possibility of huge bucks being tossed around, but who knows? Maybe Lee really wants a go at football, knowing baseball is still there in a few years. Very interesting story, can't wait to see what Miles has to say on the matter, but if they did drop Garrett's scholly, that is very strange situation. No question that Lee will not redshirt, that's probably part of the plan.

na, some people just like to get all the facts before flipping out.

Saban and Meyer aren't coming off 8-5 and 9-4 years where QB play was a major concern, either.
While they weren't coming off of 8-5 and 9-4 seasons, Meyer had arguably the greatest college football player ever, much less in the last decade, and if you think Alabama fans didn't question their QB play, you're fricking kidding yourself.

This is what I'm thinking. Gary Crowton doesn't have a good history of developing QB's and seeing the horrible development of JL and JJ maybe CG felt his skills would not be developed properly at LSU hence killing his chances at an NFL career.
I wasn't impressed with CG in the spring game, but given that neither one of our startes (JJ & JL) have really solidified themselves as the starter so I don't believe Miles cut CG.
This is 100% speculation on my part

Jefferson is our QB and will start every game barring injury.
I don't believe this for a second. If Jefferson is not producing Miles will sit him down in a heartbeat. To think injury is the only way he comes off the field is a bit unrealistic IMO.

Miles has shown he can't recruit a QB to LSU that is worth a shite. Either they have limited talent or Miles/Crowton can't develop them. Either way, the QB situation is ridiculous heading into Miles's 6th year on the job.
