Miles at OSU is absolutely laughable.

They are paranoid because of how the tressell thing went down. Urbs isn’t getting fired over lying to the media, no matter how much the media wants him to be.

Ps. Nobody is hiring les miles(last of all osu), he’s not worth anywhere near the money lsu is paying him not to coach. Everybody knows this, even Les. That’s why he’s moved on to the acting biz.

I bet $20 w a buddy of mine that he’d get fired. I don’t think he survives this one.

But I also don’t think it’s the end of his career. Maybe Notre Dame eventually?

I can’t see him getting fired over this. Too much deniability and it smells like a media witch-hunt because the media hates arrogant coaches that don’t give them any respect.

I’m sure ND would love to hire Urbs but might look bad on their morals to hire a coach that got canned for being an a-hole. Especially after the previous coach made them look so bad. I think they’d look for a more squeaky clean choir boy type next time.

That said, the word is that OSU is hypersensitive to this type of situation after the crap with Tressel and they are looking to distance themselves.

Tressel was fired for violating the terms of his OSU employment contract, which required him to report player's infractions, no matter how minor, to the NCAA. That was the bigger crime than the tattoos themselves.

Likewise, Meyer will be fired if he violated his contract by not reporting his knowledge of the spousal abuse. If he did report that at the time, he's not going to be fired. If he didn't, he's gone.

Lying to reporters of keeping Smith as an assistant when there were never any police charges or later convictions is not a fireable offense, no matter how many people wish it were.

As for Miles, nope, while Michigan my have hired a Buckeye assistant who played for Miami of Ohio, OSU has never hired a Michigan player as a coach and isn't about to do so now.

Lets say there is a market for Les Miles with high demand that he become a head coach again at a P5 school. There is no way les Miles would coach at Ohio State.

He even said he didn’t want LSU to play in a bowl game against Michigan beachside he wouldn’t want to look across the field at his old team.

If he does coach again, which is doubtful, it won’t be for a team that regularly plays Michigan or LSU.

Ohio St brass is completing their investigation over the next 2 weeks, then they’ll quietly reinstate Meyer. He’s not getting canned. It would’ve happened by now.

No kidding. That all came out on the way back and I was surprised, everything was all good except for the unusually large crowds due to Lollapalooza. Had no idea about the shootings.
