We actually made our first trip to see the new Mike the day after those pictures were taken. There was a guy there in a wheelchair and Mike VI really liked that guy (it seemed to me that he is a regular visitor). He was also running around and vocalizing a lot, though I didn't hear him roar.
He also spends more time in the water than on dry land. I guess they should have made the water section bigger.
