Would it not make more since to put this "beautiful animal" in an environment more suitable to him?
The only thing that would make more sense is if you knew the difference between the words since and sense.

So you're basically saying we need a new tiger because Mike VI won't get in his cage a few times a year.
Isn't that his job? Isn't that why we built the multi million dollar habitat? Do you think when LSU went in search of a new Tiger they were like "Lets make sure we find one who just wants to live rent free and not go to work seven days out of 365"? Doubt it. Its the Tiger Athletic Foundation not the Tiger Preservation Society.

Um... like chilling in his multi-million dollar habitat
You forgot the part about being put on display. Maybe he doesn't like that crap either.
You're off your rocker if you think thats what that multi-million dollar cage was built for. Mike VI was brought in to be a mascot not chill. If Les did his job like Mike VI does his job, he'd be gone already.

He's a fricking tiger. What do you think he signed a contract with LSU or some shite? He doesnt even have fricking thumbs. His "Job" (lol) is to be a tiger.

We built the habitat so he could have an awesome place to live and people could come visit and see him. He has a badass habitat, so he's happy. We can visit said very attractive habitat and see Mike just about any time of the day throughout the year, so we're happy.

Holy shite, how dumb are you? Do you think they went around the country interviewing tigers and gauging their potential work ethic and dedication to the university? Maybe they should have checked Roscoe's resume' a little close, AMIRIGHT!?!

He's constantly on display. YOU CAN SEE INSIDE HIS HABITAT. Again, how dumb are you?

It's literally exactly what it was built for. A state-of-the-art facility to house an extremely rare and beautiful animal that fans and visitors alike can visit throughout the year to see Mike. I don't see how you don't get this.

One thing that I've learned from this thread is that apparently no one from LSU's Vet School posts on the Rant.

I didn't say anything about a cattle prod. I believe he could be lured into the trailer humanely.
I agree
For instance, goldengorilla could be placed inside the trailer for Mikes enjoyment
I'm sure he'd go in then. It would work for one game at least

You're the worst kind of poster. Your response to a contrary point of view is to just call someone dumb? Awesome.
When I say "job," I don't mean to imply that Mike VI is employed. So lets use a different word. How about "purpose." The purpose of bringing a live tiger to LSU was for that tiger to act as a mascot. Part of being LSU's mascot is participating in pregame.
My comment was more about the school's expectations. Sure there was always a possibility that the new tiger would be different. But I don't think its unreasonable to assume that the school expected that that new tiger would do what it's predecessors have done in the past, sit around most of the year and show up at football games in the fall. If the school had anyway of knowing that the tiger wouldn't (which of course they did not) I doubt they would have picked him.
That’s kind of my point. If he doesn't like pregame and doesn't like riding around in that cage what makes you think he likes being on display generally. He can refuse to get in a cage but there's nothing he can do about being in that habitat whether he likes it or not. How do you know he loves it?
We can certainly agree to disagree. Not really sure why a civil debate turned into name calling.

besides sitting at my desk and laughing uncontrolably,
i see the TCs point. He was only asking how it works on getting mike into the cage. i dont think he was suggesting they beat him into the cage.
but hey who wants to force a 600lb cat into anything.
but i do love seeing him on the field( when he wants to of course)

Yeah, I did more than just call you dumb. I also explained why you're dumb.
If you think missing 3-4 football games a year really is far enough contrary to his "purpose" as a mascot to warrant getting a new tiger, then I'm not sure what to tell you.
You're really going to compare being in that little trailer cage and being pulled around to being by himself in his massive habitat? Really?
Have you ever seen him roam around and play in his habitat? Yeah, I'd stay away if yuo haven't, he looks like he hates it and it's sad to see.

lots of "ex-spurts" on Animal Science here it seems.

I just wanted to know if it was humanely possible to get the fuc@#ing tiger in the trailer a couple more times a year. Didn't think it would be expounded on for 3 pages. Self righteous hippies

If Mike doesn't get in his cage there's 6 more weeks of losses.
