Definitely need more size and agression from that position. Looks more like a 4-3 outside linebacker.

Seems like a great guy but being credited with 4 tackles through 2 games as a starting mlb is hard to do.

Baskeville is the only guy we have on the roster at this time for that MLB Spot!

He’ll be more needed this week against state in coverage.

He played really well end of last year when they put him at that roving LB/S hybrid which is a more natural position for him but he wants to be a MLB which is why he came to LSU.

I don't remember him playing "really well". I remember him finally getting on the field and finally making some plays.

Never understood the square peg round hole logic with him. He’s a clear WLB/Nickel Safety. Which is what we actually need him to be anyway.

It’s a point of pride with him I guess. He seems to want to be the leader on the field at that position even if it in no way fits his skill set.

Some guys are built like that and the question will really be if what he brings to the table is more valuable than what he costs LSU fir being a wrong fit at MLB.

It’s like the Welter situation back in the day, except it’s not about being too slow, but just not fitting the position at all.

I agree. I think LSU padded his stats.

So the transfer portal isn’t working out the way we liked and we need to recruit more than one LB every year in our recruiting class
