Its a conspiracy! They giving us all the hype to put a lot of pressure on our youngsters and setting us up to fail

Mike Golic has the same amount of personality as my mom's cat. It died a year ago and its buried in the back yard.

They do. They realize we have a qb who can make a forward pass.

Where is all of this coming from? I have actually been happy that we were so under the radar. I didn't like the fact that they shoved aside other people's faults when they had the same as us, and called us out on it, but I never thought they'd actually see the truth.

The guys at Nola.com have been calling 11-1 since July. And this isn't jusy because they are a bit biased.

This LSU team is freaking LOADED! The new coaches and players have breathed life back into the program. More energy, more huger, more drive. Miles was gushing over the receiving talent yesterday. Talking about how Harris has gotten more accurate and how he understands how much he has to take off some passes. Also how he's making all the throws in practice and continuing to improve even more. Talking about Key playing 2/3s of game one and talking about just how much of a physical specimen he is. Even scoffing at the idea of Adams not making it on any of the coaches poll SEC preseason lists.

I mean seriously I'd rather us have stayed under the radar until after the Auburn game. If Harris becomes a breakout star sooner rather than later, it's on baby!

Mike Golic doesn't really follow college football. He said he was worried about LSU having to travel to Alabama. A little bit of research would show that home field advantage means nothing in the LSU-Bama series.

I realize it's a nitpicky thing, but those guys are supposed to be "experts". In reality, their opinions are more than likely less educated than the average college football fan.

This might come as a shock, but your research about "home field advantage meaning nothing" literally has no bearing on the outcome of this years game. Therefore, being worried about LSU traveling to Alabama is a pretty reasonable concern. Saying that Golic "knows nothing about college football" because of this statement is not accurate in my opinion.

I never said the road team always wins, or that it's better for LSU to be on the road, just pointing out that home field advantage really doesn't matter in this series.

Another poster said this, and I agree 100%. LSU needed a shake up. Coach O and Coach Steele have brought some excitement back to the program.

I just hope the players dont get suckered into all this and focus on what they need to do week by week.

This is getting out of control! I had just re-calibrated my expectations such to avoid the perennial heart break of finishing behind our rivals due to running a 1950's offensive playbook (see what I did there).

No, most fans in the know are not falling for their BS. We've got a solid contender but crowning anybody with anything just yet is dumb.

Him picking Fornette for hiesman is huge. Hiesman is all about getting name out with the front runners.

No surprise he's hyping up Fournette. Golic is a Notre Dame guy, they know how good Fournette is.

All of a sudden LSU is getting the hype like Auburn was in the spring/early summer. Both are 8-5 teams from a year ago.

I think both teams could be very good and that neither will be bad, but who knows. Hard not to get pumped up at this time of year.
