Could this be any better than a typical rant post? I mean, he says nothing, just a lot of generic common sense or speculation answers. In short: he's bamboozled and knows nothing. Only person less wired in among media who claims to be insider is Moscona.

I understand that there is a glut of openings that will make it a bit harder

Since 2000 UF has had 7 coaches (that werent interims)

LSU has had 4

If there is a glut of coaching jobs, recruitment and stability will draw the top coaches to LSU.

If you have a search looking for the best coach (who wants the move), you can get him. Woodward just threw money at people. He wanted O'Sullivan instead of Jay. Mulkey wanted out of Baylor, and back home. Wanted Jimbo, then Riley, didnt even interview Kiffin, and settled on BK

You think players are deciding on schools based on what the governor said? lol

But they do commit to an HC and come 3rd December, exactly 1 month from now, will the commit if there is a relatively unknown coach.

We’ve been painted into a corner with the timing of BK firing (without a president) and the Governor’s big mouth.

So you think we’d be in a better position if we still had BK?

Amazing insight from Mike D (sarcasm)

And it probably took him 38 minutes to go through the list when the average person could have taken 3.

Hate aside, Mike D is actually good people. Very nice man. He just has that "bayou ramble"

We are going to hire someone who no one is talking about or talking about very little. Marcus Freeman although i like him is not coming here, Lane just seems to be everyones white whale and doubt the situation he is in he is going to risk. Sumerall just reads Auburn. Dan Lanning and Oregon are married with that Nike $$$.

Will just be curious to see how this all plays out. But there will be too many false reports until the actual time we ink a deal with a Coach.

Don’t forget Dillingham is also from Arizona and went to Arizona State and said he’s dreamed of coaching ASU since he was a kid and hopes to retire there

Great info. I didn't know that but two of my candidates have a similar issue. Lea at Vandy played football at Vandy. Key at Georgia Tech played football at Georgia Tech. Oh, and we can throw in Brahm at Louisville who played football there. Hard to pull guys away from FBS schools who already have deep roots at the school he is at.

This is why Detillier and every other person on the planet says that keeping Frank Wilson is important. Look at the 247 sports commitment list. Look at which coach is listed for the vast majority of those prospects as their recruiter. And if you also listen to prospects, most of them say they commit to the school not the coach. If they believe a coach is going to be at a school 4 years, they are living in the 20th century.

I have a feeling we end up with Sumrall

I doubt it. If he moves at all, Auburn makes more sense. In addition, Sumrall is pretty similar to Napier a few years ago from USL. LSU didn't pursue Napier and my guess is Sumrall is down on the list from Tulane.

Sumrall is from AL? I thought he was from TX?

Born in Texarkana, TX but has never coached in Texas. He had 2 stints at Troy which is located in Alabama...his 2nd stint as HC.
