With so many highly-touted defensive linemen in the upcoming NFL Draft (see Houston, Clemson, Miss St., for example), might Rashard Lawrence deem it beneficial to return for his senior year?

Lot of D-Linemen will be drafted next year which might affect Rashard's decision. Will have to wait and see.

Actually I think he will. Devin White and Greedy are gone though.

He seems smart enough to realize there’s still a lot of life left after football. He’s without a doubt an NFL talent, possibly 1st or 2nd round talent.

He’s been my favorite lineman out of a talented bunch. He looks like a man playing with boys at times. He’s a sure fire first rounder imo. If white can get him to stay, next years team could be the greatest LSU team since the bandits.

He's gone. Too injury prone to risk staying another year.

Someone pointed it he’s is only 20 years old.

He wouldn’t be 22 till the start of the 2020 season

Which would put him on par with your average Junior drafted or Ridley family Sophmore

If he continues to play at this level, for the rest of the season, then he has to declare. The whole point for anyone to go to college is to get a job. If he gets drafted high, then the money is too great and the risk of injury is too high.

I would like to think he won’t make a sporadic decision like previous Juniors have only to get lower draft grades or not get drafted at all.

We’ll see.

We’ll see him go pro. Rashard is dominating. With last season’s injuries behind him, RL is finally making the disruptive plays we expected. And as someone pointed out, he is very young. That means even more upside. The pros are dying to get this guy.

There are lots of factors here, but Rasheed has a great head on his shoulders and has always done the right thing on and off the field so he will make a very logical decision. If he continues to play at the level he has this season then I think he declares for NFL, but is he on pace to graduate in May? That will be a big factor and he needs to make it through the season uninjured

Hes also smart enough to realize that if hes a first or second round pick he can go make his money then after football if he wants his degree it's rather easy to finish up two semesters to get it.

I've been doubtful (to put it mildly) about coach O's ability to lead this program long-term, but if he can start getting players to return for their senior years, that will go a long way towards changing my opinion on him. I can accept the guys with 1st and 2nd rd grades leaving, but let's hold on to those below that.
