It's not something that concerns me, long term, but it doesn't feel good. Nor should it. Mid-week losses happen, but this was Southern. They just weren't interested, by all appearances.
Hope we sweep Missouri this week. That would set us up real nice going into the second half of conference play.

Southern’s RPI isn’t that bad. Relax.

Midweek games don’t mean anything as long as you take at least 2 out of 3 on the weekends. LSU is on pace to have 20 SEC wins with the toughest part of their schedule behind them. 20 sec wins is a top 8 seed regardless of midweek games.

I’ve learned that LSU baseball teams come on strong late. I’m sticking to that.

You kinda proved the point with your post that the sec games are all that really matter

Why are you telling me to relax? Do I sound like I'm freaking out? I'm just fine.
However, there IS no excuse for losing to Southern. And yes, their RPI is that bad, for what it's worth. Warren Nolan had them at 196, and D1 Baseball had them at 204. I'm not sure how that can be considered anything but a very bad RPI.

The sheep need to stop with Moscona.

Really can’t stand him or his radio show. BR sports radio in general really sucks.

You people are morons.
When they go out and win 6-7 of their next 9 SEC games nobody will even remember this loss.

Ultimately, as long as they win the games they NEED to win, all will be well. But as for forgetting this loss, I can't speak for anyone else, but I don't think I'm very likely to forget this loss any time soon. I still remember the last time we lost to them in 2005. This is only the third loss to them, ever, compared to 53 wins. Losing to a team like this always stands out in my mind.
It just doesn't HURT like the 2017 finals.

I said his entire radio show sucks, not just as it pertains to LSU baseball

That’s all? Easy peezy.
Getting a top 8 seed or even hosting a regional is never easy, however you will have a much better chance at those if you win 67% of your SEC games and win at least a couple in the SEC T than you would if you where 16-14 in the SEC but undefeated in mid week games
