My perfect lineup against the zone would be Waters, Mays, Graves, Days, and Reid. I understand Smart and Taylor may give you more but sometimes Javonte dribble too much and Taylor can't shoot. Graves only shoot 36% but that's second best on the team, and I bet if got more attempts that percentage would be higher. Hopefully this week they work on beating a zone and clean up those second half lulls. This might sound crazy to some, but I have more confidence that LSU can beat Duke than I have them beating Michigan State. Other than Zion, Duke bigmen are trash and I think Naz can do work down low. Then LSU has 4 guys who can beat that pressure d that Duke uses to get themselves back in games.

I feel the exact same way. I like our matchup with Duke a lot more then Michigan state. If we can win friday I like our chances to get to the final 4.

Pound the inside.
Get the free ones.
Make up with our 36% 3 pointers.
Make the adjustments.
Opps my bad forgot Wade not there.
Stay focused the whole game.
PLAY OUR DEFENSE SHUT THEM DOWN!
We bet them, duke, and Houston for the championship and the admin.

they shoot 38.3% from 3

That scares me, and also LSU's ineffectiveness in the face of a 1-3-1 zone.

Tigers will have to play the game of their lives to win this game.

Good thing Michigan State never plays zone so if they try it against us they aren’t very experienced with it

I don’t get it but Graves won’t play at all this tournament.

MSU has been charted. They've played zone all of 5 possessions this seasons. They are REALLY good at man defense.

My biggest frustration! Just get buckets! Don’t try matching buckets and stops!

For the season teams shoot 33.5% from the 3 against us.

That is 128th in the nation.

This is great news because I believe LSU is slightly more athletic and quicker. But MSU might be stronger.

What do you think about us putting a press on them every now and then? We’re really good at it, when we’ve got our guys in their role positions.
We get so many deflections and steals I can see us grabbing the ball before they get to half court, then it’s off to the races against a few defenders.
I know that the players love pressing - it’s fun. We always seem to come out more energetic after a successful press

I love the idea of the press but you have to use it in the right spots. It can tire the team out.

With that said I wouldn't mind seeing us do a three quarter press through 50% of the game. It take a lot less energy than the full court but you meet their guards defensively above the three point line and it takes a little longer for them to get set into their called offensive play.

It's really a coaching decision depending on the flow of the game and how much energy the guys have in reserve.
