Lawman ever play high school baseball? I'm guessing no but you can read a stat vs looking at the guys swing and amount of quality at bats vs quality pitching which is what Texas has and you can see the guy is overmatched. As for Nola the dude at least has good at bats and takes quality cuts regardless if his average reflects it.

ETA: I wouldn't be against moving him down in the line up, but to say he's the worst hitter on the team is asinine. LSU's line up has been winning games for them this far....

in game 1 vs uva, and in the second game vs arkansas gibbs had a 2 out hit to score a run in the first inning of both games. i also believe he went 4-4 in that uva game. i can see saying

See I dont get this.. He has been hitting the ball as good or better than ANYONE on the team in the CWS! He had one of our only hits last night..
He has 8 hits in the CWS people. DJ who leads the team only has 10.
How can you knock the guy for not hitting?

from what i can gather, you consider quality pitching anyone with a texas uniform on. lets take the 2 games so far, and the players who started both games

so what we have gathered is dj is the only person in our lineup who can hit quality pitching. dont give me this quality swing, and hitting the ball right at people shite. if youve watched the games you would notice that minus the homerun schimpf hit, he has looked lost and overmatched at the plate. the same can be said about dean. i didnt get drafted by the red sox, so i guess i dont have as much baseball knowledge as you.

You keep saying he can't hit shite against quality pitching, when no one on the damn team last night could hit that guy....

catman...you watched every LSU game and it's you're opinion Gibbs is a good hitter. I'm not gonna say i've watched every LSU game but it is my opinion in the games I have watched and the at bats i have seen he is not a good hitter. Lets just agree to disagree instead of posting box scores.
