last year was a run for a national championship not a time to break in a new qb.

Really?
Northwestern State
Kentucky
Western Kentucky
Tenn- plenty of points
Ole Miss- plenty of points

you really do not see the missed opportunity.

Not really. Not many teams get their THIRD string QB in to throw many passes in significant playing time.

Northwestern State

He did play in this game. Even threw a TD pass so you can't complain here.

Kentucky

We only won this game 35-7. Not many teams would have their third string QB in up 35-7.

Ole Miss- plenty of points

he played in this game as well. Lots of handing off and kneeling but we also won the game 52-3.

I don't see how its so hard to understand that by the time you have a big enough lead to get the third string QB in the game, you aren't going to sit there and throw the ball all over the yard.

Oregon has been up 56-0 at halftime in half of their games this season. Tell me how many passes their third string QB has thrown.

I did not say that he did not play some in passing he completed 8 of 10 in one game and the went in for one serie in another game and yes, mostly to hand off.

My point is simply this, you can not give someone TOO MUCH EXPERIENCE....
maybe, just maybe, had he been given that experience last year, he would have started playing better EARLIER this year than he has...maybe even possibly for the FL game.

Then we lose at Bama...don't make the SEC championship and possibly not the NC and we're not even having this discussion.

Nope, play it out like I said and we finish 14-0.

I would have rather ended the season 12-1, with the only loss to Bama in Nov, than to go out the way we did.

Inserting JJ was absolutely the wrong choice for last year, and for getting Mett ready for this year. Thats not even questionable anymore

no, it doesn't. Mett needed time to develop, and the coaches felt Jordan gave em the best chance to win. it is what it is.

When 13-1 seasons get classified as "it is what it is"....we have lost touch with reality as a fan base.

He didnt start hitting his stride until the Oline was mixed up. I think that has made a huge difference. Plus our receivers catching everything all of a sudden.

Mett started looking like a QB when the staff realized that it wasn't illegal to throw to the TE's and RB's.In the Ala game Mett was 8 for 8 to the TE's and RB's not counting the TD to Clement that was nullified by a penalty.By throwing to the RB's and TE's they have given the opponents defense something else they have to worry about defending.41% of the passing yardage in the Ala game was from the RB's and TE's.We gave Ala some of the same medicine they gave us in the NC game. The last two games LSU's offense hasn't been as predictable as before.
