Lets be honest here, who want mettenberger To declare for the NFL draft so that rivers will have 3 years with this new young team? We have already taken a huge blow with all the players declaring, I'd almost like to take all the hits in one year and start fresh. But then again my sense of reasoning kicks in and tells me that I'm crazy and we need mettenberger to close the gap with his experience

EFFF that.

Mett has all the tools to be an elite QB. Another year with his WR's and a solid OL.

He puts it all together in 2013.

only a retard

what makes you think rivers is worth a damn?

He's not gonna be any better than what have seen the last 2-3 years at QB until Miles allows it to happen. FACT.

Yep.

If Mett was at a school with competent offensive coaches, he would be All-World IMO.

So let's be honest here. You want Mett to enter the draft which would pretty much ruin any chance he has at ever getting drafted?

If he wants to get drafted he needs to have a good season next year. Fans like you don't care about our players, you only think about the team. That's why the majority of rantards are freaking out about why all these juniors are declaring. Ever thought that they are making the best decision for themselves? Not some idiot fan on Tigerdroppings.

I don't know what all the hype is on Rivers. His arm strength a little above average (better than his brother's) and he doesn't throw a particularly good ball.

Funny because I remember Mett being declared the "savior" of the program when he first came to campus now you want him gone?

You have a better chance of winning with Mett than without him right now.

And he wants Steven fricking Rivers to be our QB. A guy that is Mett, but skinnier, more top heavy, with a weaker arm, and has no experience.

This is hilarious. Steven Rivers will never be our QB unless Mett goes down early next year. Rettig/Jennings will pass him pretty quick.

Dude Mett is not a bad QB. I really think the problems with the OL this year affected him way more than we know. When he got pressure early it was like he just could not get comfortable and was always looking over his shoulder. Causing the overthrows and other issues. The games where he didn't get pressured early he didn't loose that sense of comfort and played pretty good. For whatever reason once Mett got rattled he couldn't get it back together.
