Mett - Brand new starting Qb, leader of Offense. Ok.

OB - Freshmen last year, major contributor, no media time. Getting his turn. OK.

Reid - Leader of the defense. Ok.

Looks like a good crew to me.

No Shep. Its a Missouri year for him in '12. We saw you Tweet all year long & then hold our feet over the coals.

Now go catch 30 & get us 6 or 7 Total TD's with a few decent jet-sweeps.

Originally, I thought Mingo was going instead of Beckham.

He's definitely quotable. He's definitely got a motor. But we don't know if he's got the right kinda governor to be put in front of that kinda group of journo's.

agreed it is a great crew and I am sure lots of things are factored in as to who goes that we (fans) know nothing about. Last year Shep was on list but had to be pulled when NCAA issue arose.

Perfect selections. They will be the leaders and the some of the most well-spoken. I love Mingo and Montgomery (M&M) and they are leaders, just not the best to represent us in front of a slew of journalist who will be tearing LSU apart.

Yeah, I suspect this is just an attempt to show a sort of dedication to the passing game.

1) Montgomery may not be able to hold back from saying something ridic but Mingo is a great public face for LSU football

2) tearing LSU apart? the questions they get asked are the biggest softball lobs ever son.

are you serious? what are you basing this on? both guys can speak, and are engaging (Sam in his own unique way, lol).

Do you even follow LSU football? They are two of the most articulate football players on our team.

Any number of guys could have been put up there..

I see Mett as a viable option since he's the new QB and everyone is so high on him..

I see Reid.. He was maybe the best guy on the defense last year, and the praise wasn't that high on him from a media stand point. Everyone talked about Claiborne, Mathieu, Montgomery, Mingo, etc..

Surprised at OBJ..

Surprised Tyrann isn't going to be up there.. Maybe after the back and forth with AJ was enough.

I have to wonder if the media is going to ask anything about LSU/Alabama.. I'm sure Miles chose his people smartly.

I know Reid makes wonderful grades, but have you ever heard that guy speak? I can barely understand what he's saying. He's not very well-spoken. Good, smart guy though!

Pretty exciting to me. Hopefully sending Zack and Odell is a theme CLM wants to emphasize this year with play calling.
