I did scout out a park close by to picnic/tailgate this weekend.  The Westwood Recreation Center at 1350 S. Sepulveda (just behind the Federal Building on Wilshire).   There's multiple playground equipment groupings for the kids as well as a few BBQ pits and picnic tables.  There's also tennis courts and basketball courts as well as many parking spots.  It's also easy to get to the stadium from there as you only have to go north on Sepulveda to Constitution Avenue, turn left there and immediately go under the 405 and just on the other side of the 405 is the stadium.  Less than a mile from the park.

UCLA has stated that tailgating is not allowed at the stadium so this is a good alternative.

I'll be there tomorrow and if you would like to meet there let me know.  A bigger function will be held Saturday for the game by the chapter and more information for that will come from our new president - Paul Dietzel.

UCLA has stated that tailgating is not allowed too close to the bleachers they have so this is a good alternative.

I'm sorry you feel that way!

Apologies if I ever came across that way to you. It was never my intention.

Tiger Fans!

I will be at South at 2p tomorrow with many other tiger fans "tailgating" until we head over to the game around 4:45. We had an excellent turnout after the game at South today and all of us plan to head back there tomorrow for pre-game activities!

So, you can grill/tailgate in a park amongst the trees and other flammable material...but not in the parking lot of the stadium?

Tough loss this evening but congrats to UCLA for a great game played by them. We'll be ready to cheer on our Tigers for two wins tomorrow.

We'll be back out at the park around 11am tomorrow, on the Veterans Avenue side of the park for those that were there today. Bring whatever you care to eat and drink and I hope to see y'all tomorrow.

As always...

So, what's the story here? Are there so many LSU fans in Los Angeles for the tournament that no venue is large enough to hold them all?
Why are there two different tailgating locations being touted here?
Can't we all just get along at a single party?
