Sounds like we should fire Woodward then

That calls into question the "increased NIL" BS. If you have the money to increase the NIL funding then, presumably, you have the extra ~$2M you would have to spend by making a change now.

The money is not coming from the same pot & it’s not a “2M difference”. I’m assuming with the recent influx of NIL funds for football, we already have and extra >$1M sitting in Bayou Traditions collective waiting to spend on basketball. You can’t convert that $ to use on a coach’s buyout.

Sure it’s possible the “NIL excuse” is BS & they’re just waiting to fire him next year but I find that hard to believe with how public it’s been

Don’t know what that means, but no one is actually expecting us to spend $10M on NIL for men’s basketball.

We literally have the CP3 poster on here that claims he knows all the NIL details and LSU is investing $8-10mil this upcoming season.

You guys need to have a Teams call to get the story straight.

You got TPK roaming around trying to make some point, then minutes later refuting his own first point to try to make another point. It's like 5th graders arguing during recess.

They spread false narratives on purpose. You think he doesn’t know this? You believe him when he says he hasn’t seen this being said? He’s lying brother

It is funny that Jim is in every basketball thread spreading his "financials" narrative that he's convinced himself is fact, but somehow completely missed CP3 going on and on in 10+ page threads about competitors NIL funding and LSU spending $8-$10mil, which will put us in the middle of the road.

CP3 ain’t the only one. Every other bball thread on the board I’ve seen today has somebody repeating it, which is why they say it.

I've never despised an AD more for a lack of action and transparency that the one we have now. Yes, worse than Alleva. He hasn't uttered one consequential word about basketball in three years

Texas is being aggressive after an NCAA berth and we are declining NIT bids and making false statements about injuries being the reason. pathetic

I know he isn't the only one. I was using him as the example because he was railing exhaustively about it, pretending he had inside information, but per the usual couldn't give actual details.

Once the athletic department fed that narrative it's been interesting to watch them talk circles around each other.

You can just go see for yourself. In my experience, linking information for you does nothing to stop your BS. It’s a waste of my time and effort.

This is honestly one of my biggest gripes with the way college athletics is now. Why are NIL numbers not public?

Rays fans don't get mad when they don't make the playoffs with their payroll, but the Yankees fans sure as hell will.

We should know where our team is in spending. If they're at the bottom, well, the results speak for themselves.
