U are one of the dumbest people I’ve encountered. Jalen Reed is not a good defender in the slightest, he blocks a few shots but he isn’t a good defender at all. Carter is a very good perimeter defender meanwhile and gives u bigger games on offense…do u even watch these games? Clearly not

Hey retard, who do you think Justice Hill played for before coming to LSU?
he played for a mid major school under Ya boy Matty McMahon. He was putting that up in a horrendous conference while playing with KJ. He averaged 11 points a game at Murray State. I’m convinced you’re arguing just argue you dunce.

I decided to go to both the LSU game vs UNO and the Mcneese game against UNO to see the major differences in the teams

Why?

quote:

The Mcneese game had fans pumped up from the start and the attendance, while not very big, was very into the game the entire time

It was a conference game for them…vs a small conference team holiday season game for us.

Overall McNeese is the much better team and this frustrates me for many reasons

I’m pretty sure you are frustrated because you are ignorant. Mcneese is not better

quote:

you could argue that mcneese is inconsistent because they are 7-5 and LSU is 10-2 but Mcneese lost to #2 Alabama by 8 points and #24 Mississippi State by 3 points

What about their other 3 losses?
Idk what made you want to make this compairison but you’re off center with this one.

We are relying on net when two of those teams played each…Miss State demolished Pitt by 33 lmao

Uhh yea, we are. Both of those teams played 11 other games. The NET considers all of those games instead of relying solely upon 1 game in a 30+ game season

Unfortunately I think we have a lot more of these type of posts to look forward to as conference time rolls around. Mcneese should roll through the southland while LSU likely finishes below .500 in conference. Then these types won’t be able to help themselves.

My point doesn’t change at all Mississippi State obliterated Pitt by 33 points…that’s embarrassing no matter how u look at it.

its almost like these “types” like to win. It’s so weird how people keep defending McMahon when he forms these subpar teams that are very inconsistent. LSU needs a coach who is capable of being able to consistently win in the SEC.

Neither does mine. Mississippi St.'s only loss was to a 7-6 Butler team that lost to Austin Peay. Is Austin Peay better than Mississippi St.?

I made zero defense of McMahon. If you want to make an argument against McMahon, go ahead, make it against his peers. People have been critiquing him since the beginning, in some cases they were correct. But not this dumbass comparison between Mcneese and LSU.

I also should note that wades teams at lsu were not consistent either. They were more talented.

Anyone who types this is instantly discredited.

It’s an argument on the level of a caveman. Anytime I read it I envision the person that wrote it grunting and drooling as he typed.

ETA: For the record, OP also seems like he’s grunting and drooling with every post.

A lot of people don’t know how paid attendance works. Attendance is just the number of tickets sold. It has nothing to do with people in the seats.

Will Wade really connects with the fan base of the school he's coaching. It’s undeniable. There was more energy for LSU basketball here than there’s been since the early 90s.

I absolutely agree. But also, it’s easier to get people to come when the team wins games. Wades outreach was successful, while the team was also successful. Which is why people feel sentimental about the Wade era despite any major ncaa tournament success.

Everybody knows Wade > McMahon but why start this thread? We already know this and it’s just gonna throw certain people into a fit.

We made the NIT and then 4 straight NCAAT (Covid cancellation). We also made the Sweet 16 and perhaps could have gone deeper if dick-nose Alleva wasn't taking advice from Pat Forde and Dickie V Baby!

Prior to Wade's hiring, fans were asking for consistency, NCAAT 3 of 5 years, NIT another and maybe one rebuild season. Fans weren't asking for the moon.

Wade outperformed expectations, then so called fans that never mentioned basketball were all of a sudden experts and complaining.

Wade is still held in high regard by most fans because he did what we asked, brought consistent success and excitement to the program.

All of that said, McNeese is not better than LSU this year. The jury is still out on CoachMc, and the SEC will be a gauntlet, but the way the team handles it will tell us a lot if he can be successful here long term. Btw, I won't root against Wade unless we're playing against him, however we are LSU Basketball fans, not coach worshipers.
