I disagree. I don’t think we need to get rid of Wade. He isn’t a bad coach, he just isn’t the gangster genius these young punks on this board think he is. Is literally the modern Dale Brown. Average coach, great recruiter and the kids love him and play hard for him. This isn’t a bad thing. It’s crazy how similar Wade and Brown are. Only difference I find is that Wade has bought into the hype too much.

We have finished in the top 4 in the SEC each of the past three years. That is pretty damn rare for LSU. Especially when you consider that the SEC is as strong in basketball as it has ever been.

Well, do you want him trying to get people to the PMAC or not? Because he and his team behind the scenes did a fantastic job this year of getting people to the games.

And he built a great schedule which will be the main reason we are in the tourney

Anyway, I don't expect a reasonable answer from you. I don't think Wade should be fired yet. But, OP isn't wrong about positives and negatives.

Are their people out there that think Wade doesn’t have flaws? Of course he has flaws but he is still the best coach LSU has had for a long time.

We are disappointed in a LSU team that will make the NCAA tournament in a rebuilding year. That’s the standard Will Wade has brought LSU up to. Before him we were just happy to make the tourney.

Now he does need to start improving on that and make some runs in the tournament which does start with setting yourself up with better seeding. Next year I believe will be a huge test in what the ceiling can be with him at LSU.

Which helps him in promoting his program and builds interest. Also helps in recruiting. Gets eyeballs on his program. Thats not a bad thing

You got a lot of downvotes but I agree with your perspective. I think Wade is the best recruiter we’ve ever had but only average at coaching the talent. Dale was a better coach and he got ridiculed for it. I guess I’ll get downvotes too.

It took Dale years to figure out the formula to success as it does most coaches. Wade isnt even 40 yet. He is still in the process of figuring it out. This fanbase is fricking retarded. You want a young up and coming coach, but you dont wanna take the bumps in the road that come with it.

Doesn’t make you qualified to dish out staff change ideas. Especially with that terrible take you posted.

He recruits well and is an analytics guy. He CANNOT Coach X's and O's. D was bad last few years and he went was able to get it turned around. Lets see if he can do the same with the O in the offseason. Regardless of whatever shortcomings he may have he does seem to be willing to acknowledge and work to correct those shortcomings.

You do understand how hard it is to win an NCAA tourney right? It’s the hardest sport to win a championship in because one off night shooting and you are done.

Will Wade's tenure here has been one of the most successful in LSU history. Consistent NCAA appearances, a sweet 16 run, an SEC title.

Underachieving is when you have the damn #1 overall pick on your team and still don't sniff the tourney. Not what Wade has done.

LSU fans better appreciate Wade because we don't have the recruiting base to maintain a top tier program like we do with football and baseball. Our basketball facilities also suck. You pretty much only have recruits coming here for Wade.

Yep. Its lost on alot of our fans how hard it is to recruit here and win here consistently. Just look at how many Louisiana kids we have on the team.
