Sure. SEC receivers = SWAC receivers.
Marcus Colston played for a school that doesn't have a team football program anymore.

You must really dumb. I never said he would cover a teams number 1 receiver, nor that he was the best coverage LB ever. But he did impress the best LB coach in the country with his overall ability, including in coverage.
It's basically implied that he'll cover the middle, sometimes flats, and overall the TE's. You're the dumbass who tried to exaggerate something simple.
Sorry you had a stupid suggestion. Maybe you should learn some shite for next time.

Brilliant idea.

I'm pretty sure they're moving him there to be an H-back not purely a Fullback. With his athleticism he'll be a FB/PowerRB/TE.

He will be good. I heard he has gotten faster than when he was at Washington Marion. He is in better shape too. I'm very proud of Melvin.

For now Melvin is playing full back/tight end. He is a hybrid of sorts. Will catch the ball out of the back field, block or move up and line up as an extra tight end. Will he stay in and block? Or will he go out in the flat and be an extra receiver? Coach Cam is the man with the plan. Be patient and watch. This could get very interesting.

That gets me excited. Variety is the spice of life!

Redshirt?
Yes he's a great athlete and we can't wait to see him.
However, if he's not ready to step in at MLB and Copeland/Neighbors are in front; maybe he Redshirts, then they decide what position he goes to from there.

quote:You know that Melvin has been practicing exclusively with the offense in a fullback/hback role, right?
I doubt Chavis would let go of a 6'3 245 LB who runs a legit 4.6 and can cover recievers.

Thanks! Said it because its a thread about MELVIN JONES and no one really knows what's going to happen this year with him. Not even you, but congrats on 23000.
