I was kinda wondering if anyone was going to mention them.

I'm not sure what oregon's done, except, IMO almost get walloped against a team who almost lost to UAB

If winning 48-13 is "almost getting walloped", then what in the hell is winning 30-24 or 20-14?

quote:

if the SEC champ is a 1 loss team, and pac 10 or big 10 field an undefeated, we'll get jumped. I think if Nebraska wins the big 12 they jump a 1 loss sec winner too.

Of course. When has that ever been in doubt? And by the way, the Pac Ten is probably just as good as the SEC this year, if not better.

quote:

Nebraska barely offed South DAKOTA STATE, 17-3 and they are still ranked favorably. If UF woulda done that, they'd gotten dropped to 15 at the least.

Florida looked like crap in their first two games and stayed in the top 10. LSU has looked like complete shite so far and has jumped 6-9 spots in the rankings. The SEC is not getting screwed in the polls.

quote:

The Florida - Alabama game is being almost over shadowed by the Stanford vs Oregon game.

By what standard are you measuring this? They're both huge games and, frankly, if I were a TV network exec deciding which one to hype, I'd hype the one that is A) being televised by my network or a related one and B) more in doubt regarding who will win. If I'm at ESPN or ABC, that means Oregon-Stanford.

The BCS system has always been ripe for media corruption. It is a shame that the media can pretty much decide who will be pushed towards the NC and Heisman.

Its now what he said. The content was that a one loss SEC team doesn't deserve to be in the NCG over an undefeated BCS program.

Big 10? The only school getting any real love outta the Big 10 from what I hear is Ohio State. Wisconsin is getting some love, but Bama is receiving way more.

The last time I can recall a Boise State LIKE TEAM playing for the National Championship was way back in 1988. The Mountaineers lost to Notre Dame that year in a game billed/advertised/hyped as the National Championship Game by a couple of TD's. The reason why a "Boise State like team" West Virginia (11-0) had a legit shot at winning the title was because the Irish had already beaten the #2 ranked Miami Hurricanes that season.

It is Obama's fault...since the snivelling little whining pussy liberals have been in power, they have put pressure on ESPN to go out West to the land of fruits and nuts, to make the West Coastians think they are actually American....

Any American with half a brain would figure that Gameday should be the lizard/gump matchup....

Disclaimer: btw, for any sensitive pussy fart liberals on here, this response is "tongue in cheek/humorous...." have to say that b/c pussy libs are easily offended and can't take a punch.

Yeah, and the media was responsible for catching the Easter Bunny in bed with Goldilocks. Jeez, people like you blame the media for everything from Les' coaching abilities to gloabal warning. I know it's convenient to do so, but do you REALLY think that happens? Incredible!

Bama vs. Florida = CBS

Oregon vs. Stanford = ESPN/ABC

ESPN is going to rep Oregon vs. Stanford.

Florida-Bama is on CBS. ESPN has to hype the game on their ABC partner because it competes head-to-head, despite their SEC contract. People still won't watch it, because neither Stanford nor Oregon has played in a BCS title game.

THE MEDIA is not one cohesive, act as on entity. their job is TO SELL ADVERTISING. that's what puts the meat on the table, not A COORDINATED CONSPIRACY AGAINST THE SEC. i'm sure there are some people in the media that want just what you say just as there are some that don't and others that don't take sides at all. what is probably more in play here is that the rest of the nation is tired of the SEC winning every damn year; their pride is hurt. some of these guys did go to pac10 or big 10 schools and they love theri schools.

As of now, neither of those has a CCG, and that has made a difference, that is why they are realigning and adding one in the future, so they can claim equal standing with the SEC.

There's an old saying that you are entitled to your own opinion but not your own facts. Florida or Bama have been ranked #1 in the last 28 AP polls (that's the media poll btw).

Anybody who doesn't understand this is a retarded SEC homer. Oregon and OSU appear to both be very good this year. Just because the SEC has won the last 4 titles doesn't mean it's their birthright to be represented every single year. Besides, there are 2 spots anyway. I doubt the Pac 10 and Big 10 both produce an undefeated champion. Odds are very much against it.

It's always funny me how people seem to forget how college football goes and pencil teams in to championship games the 1st week of October. shite happens. Every single year. Every single week.
