I firmly believe the media is trying to hype a Pac-10 vs Big 10 strength of schedule this year. The Florida - Alabama game is being almost over shadowed by the Stanford vs Oregon game.

Stanfords big win so far is over ucla. Yes, UCLA beat an unproven texas, but also lost to kansas state as well.

I'm not sure what oregon's done, except, IMO almost get walloped against a team who almost lost to UAB. I know im reaching here, but i think that storm delay saved Oregon's arse pretty hardcore.

What my point is, is that I think if the SEC champ is a 1 loss team, and pac 10 or big 10 field an undefeated, we'll get jumped. I think if Nebraska wins the big 12 they jump a 1 loss sec winner too.

Ofcourse, Nebraska barely offed South DAKOTA STATE, 17-3 and they are still ranked favorably. If UF woulda done that, they'd gotten dropped to 15 at the least.

IMHO a one loss SEC does not deserve it over an undefeated Pac-10 or Big-10 team...

The biggest media/sports outlet has a vested interest in the SEC. I don't think they want anyone in particular, just a good storyline.

If Oregon and Ohio St are undefeated at the end of the year how can you say a one loss Florida deserves it more?

I'm a huge SEC backer, more than most, but if you have two undefeated teams from a BCS conference how can you let in a 1 loss team?

Now if everyone else has one loss, no other team than an SEC team deserves it.

Huh? I think they gave Tennessee their worst loss in Neyland Stadium history. I know Tennessee was beating them for a while, but the game is 60 minutes.

The media does seem to be pushing some of that other stuff, but it's early. Florida doesn't have Jesus anymore, so naturally, the attention is less.

At what point did I say they didn't?

This thread makes no sense anyway. There is no context what-so-ever. See my last post.

Where did I say they would lose? I'm just saying, how can you put a 1 loss team in over an undefeated team (BCS conference only; not called the Big East)?

Jesus Christ, according to some of you, everybody hates LSU. Before, it was just ESPN, and now it's the complete media in the U.S. I hope that the one who started this thread is under fifteen years of age.

The media will not be happy unless Boise State is in the NC game. They're the media darling this year.

I agree I think most of the media would be pleased if the SEC did not get in the ncg.

And since the Florida-Bama game is on CBS and Stanford-Oregon is on a Mickey Mouse channel, the Stanford-Oregon game is the story due to cross promotion. There's no grand conspiracy to screw one team or another, they're just trying to get the biggest ratings from week to week.

Easy, we had have undefeated teams goes up against 1-loss SEC and even Two-Loss teams before and yet we trounce those undefeated all the damn time.

Even the big 12.
