Too busy being a head coach?

I'm up for discussion, but at least know what you are talking about.

Coach O has been the head coach of a team for a total of about 3.5 years. Lets go with him starting in 1988 at Miami as DL coach. Thats at least what? 325 total games that he has been a coach and he was a HC for 43 total games. That makes him a head coach for about 13% of his whole coaching career.

So, if you add his head coaching jobs to his defensive coordinator jobs he would still have coached just 13% of his career at those positions.

I am not saying that he can't do it... All I asked was don't you think there is some reason he has never held the DC position before?

If he hasn't been a DC at this point its because he hasn't wanted to be.

Coach Steele showed nothing but class in his time at LSU, and he coached the last bowl game like it was important to him.

Unlike Chavis.

Agreed. I'm still a little happy he moved on. Might be ignorant on my part but I flat out melted when he was hired.
I later understood the positives he has but I'm cool with the situation now.

I agree, also Hanagriff said he doesn't think he wants that gig. Being up in the booth, scheming 24/7, etc. He's more of an in your face hands on guy. Now he would take a head gig if it's the right fit in a second, but if O wanted to be a DC, he would have been one by now I think
