Edit: @RossDellenger Source said #LSU was not getting into a bidding war for Steele and that Bama's state retirement played a role as well.

The only reason this hire makes any sense is that Kevin Steele's brother is a sports admin at Auburn. Other than that I don't really see why they would go after him.
