Nice video. Looks like it was probably with the players, pretty cool.

85% of this board thinks you need a mobile QB to run the RPO so, this vid is super informative

It also shows you the RB missed his hole on both carries.

I know this is pretty generic stuff but are we supposed to have this footage?

That's gotta be infuriating for coaches when everyone executes the plan and the RB runs into traffic.

It makes for a better offense, no questions asked. I mean if you watched the video you can clearly see the natural running lanes a mobile QB could take advantage of

The guy in the comments said he got it from the LCFA conference.

You can apparently buy it

There is a 6 minute section titled “intro to LSU offense”

Coaches’ schemes aren’t some big secret. 99% of them will explain what they do as a whole and why if they’re asked, especially older coaches. You can go across the internet far and wide and find coaches selling their offense or defense. YouTube is full of clinic sessions as well. If a coach refuses to talk about what they do and clutches their playbook close, that is a coach that is super insecure and full of shite. In this case, Denbrock is explaining the basics of his offense, but he’s not revealing specifics as to how he plans to attack FSU, or any other team this year. It’s just a coaching resource really.

But an RPO is not designed for a QB to run it’s either hand the ball off or throw it quick.

You layer the read option action with a mobile QB & the look becomes that much more confusing.

Fact of the matter is there are very few successful college adaptations that do not have mobile QBs

I agree that the threat of a QB that can run the read option along with a RPO is a better option but you do not need a mobile QB to run a RPO play.

I’m not saying you are one of them but there is a large portion of people on this board that can’t seem to understand that.

I know he's doing just fine now running a normal offense but it Reminds me of Canada's stint at LSU.
Was he just experimenting with our team to see if some shite he dreamed up would work and change the game? Still a head-scratcher.

I mean why hide it? Any decent high school coach can watch film and tell you what they’re doing. There is a difference in knowing what’s happening and stopping what’s happening.

Football scheme isn’t some mystery. No one has a secret playbook and everyone is constantly stealing everyone else’s shite.

It’s fans who don’t understand it that make it bigger than what it is.

You can have a teams entire playbook but it doesn’t matter if you don’t know the game plan they are using against you and the tweaks they made to their playbook specifically to attack you.

Bingo. Former players of any sport will remember coaches hammering "execution" in their brains.

That first play he showed was pretty simple concept but incredibly difficult to execute against top SEC Defenses. The Mike LB is often fast as frick or fakes his read and wrecks it right away. Or That DE is a beast and tosses the the tackle. Or a DB will come crashing in out of nowhere. So many things can go wrong to wreck that play if everything isn't executed to perfection. And even then it's up to the player with the ball to make a significant gain.

Coach said that the next progression includes option for QB to run. I’m so sick of this MB cartel

You're reading too much into this.

The dude was simply saying that half of this board is retarded and gets the read option mixed up with RPO.

Canada is still running his overshift offense with the Steelers. Tomlin said they intend to go forward with his approach even more this coming season. His stint at LSU was marred by an overreaching HC. Orgeron was heavily involved with the offense that year and made it more vanilla looking than it should have been. Part of that is due to the learning curve…it takes time to get used to the terminology and timing involved with a scheme like that.

@CottonWasKing

You’d be surprised how some guys can be regarding their scheme. They think they reinvented the wheel. But, most coaches talk about their schemes and use past clips from games to illustrate how it works live. Especially old school wing-t and veer coaches.
