I'd think that's against the NFL's draft rules,

Of course it's against the rules, but that doesn't mean it doesn't happen every year (it does)

would get a team in a lot of trouble if it's ever found out.

It's basically impossible to prove unless a media member wants themselves blacklisted by disclosing their sources and then proving the information was false. A team can always say yeah we think he has character issues. No one has elaborated on much other than the issues are there. Pretty vague, and intentionally vague

don't think the media is making this up. I think there are teams leaking bogus information to the media hoping Guice drops to their slot in the draft

Possibly. I don’t see them saying it about any other player. Wonder why him

Because he leaked the messed up questions that arrogant power-tripping Gm's and coaches were asking him in interviews.

Think about the timeline. No character issues, "experts" argue Guice to be first round pick and top 2 RB off the board.

Guice doesnt play politics, he is too real. He leaked sensitive information about the interview process, which was the right thing to do but very risky.

That made GM's, coaches, the whole NFL and process look badly. They let it cool off for awhile so as not to seem reactionary.

Now the figurehead that is spoonfed information as a mouth piece is saying Guice will fall due to bad interviews and missed meetings - unsubstantiated garbage, but gives the public enough dumb reason to doubt.

They are gonna send Guice a message and it makes me sick. I hate the NFL and all its politics. Non profit league my arse

Im pullin for Guice, and as long as he stays true like he is, he will have a good life. The rest can go to hell....

IMO because he made someone look bad when he said he was asked about being gay and his mother being a prostitute during team interviews

I haven't paid much attention to anyone outside Guice but I'm sure there are others. But I know Dalvin Cook had some rumors of who he hung out with off the field causing him to slide down draft boards and allegations of domestic violence and even animal abuse. He was still drafted in the 2nd round about where he was expected to be drafted. And honestly, with Cook, his slower 40 time than expected probably hurt him more than anything else.

I just think outside something major (i.e. we would have head about it by now), no one is going to slide from a late 1st grade to a 4th round grade.

sometimes your peer comparison can create this problem ... Barkley is that kind of peer. His interviews and ability to express himself are exceptional.

was it the right thing to do? Teams are spending tens of millions of dollars on draft picks - and none of them are a sure thing. It's a very risky business - and the interview questions aren't meant to torment players - there's a reason behind the questions they ask (as bizarre as they might be).

Those questions might seem strange to the rest of us, but those teams have a lot riding on these picks, and I think they can ask just about whatever they want and the player should answer (after all, they're about to be multi-millionaires).

And when a player leaks it, well, that's not good at all.

A word of advice to all players: don't rock the boat right before you're about to sign a life-changing contract. Shut down all social media, don't go out to clubs, don't put yourself in ANY position to screw things up for yourself.

You've got a bit more flexibility once the signing bonus is in the bank but, until then, you want ZERO controversy.

McShay is a fricking pussy. He predicted one player to get drafted where he thought they would last year. One fricking player. Just imagine being that shitty at your job, and getting to keep your job. McShay is a joke, Kiper is a joke, ESPN is a joke.
