i graduated from McNeese 10 yrs ago. I had to pay tuition to go there. I did them a favor. On the other hand, I will ALWAYS love and support my high school alma mater. I've never lost sleep over a McNeese game. Have actually lost plenty over LSU games. With that being said, Geaux Tigers!!!!

wow, mcneese had school spirit at one time. they really need to compete and win the small school division for the sake of school pride and spirit. kinda sad not to support your school.

The low self-esteemed yahoos who cheer against their own school don't represent McNeese. They are a very small minority. Why didn't they just go to LSU is my question? With that said, a lot of McNeese fans like both LSU and McNeese, but will be cheering for the cowboys. Many have connections with both schools and many have just been fans of both schools their entire lives. The cowboys don't compete on that level and they don't want to be an FBS team. We're just fine here in the FCS.

I still support them. I watch every LSU game. During timeouts and halftime, I listen to a couple of minutes of McNeese. Growing up as a kid, McNeese was garbage. They were an afterthought. When Keasler and Kirby came in, McNeese turned things around and became an exciting team to watch. During these years, LSU was suffering through the Hallman era. I still followed LSU more despite the success of McNeese. LSU WILL ALAYS BE OUR STATE SCHOOL!!!!!

I know its not the same type of matchup, but that reminds me of when I read about Florida State students from Miami rooting for the Hurricanes when they played FSU.

I went to one McNeese game.

I was in the Nicholls St. band and we had a pep band go over there one year. It was toward the end of the year, maybe the last game, not sure.

They were ranked 2 in the nation and we showed up and beat them with a receiver from my high school team in the last few minutes.

Still one of the best games I have ever been to, and I have LSU and Saints season tickets.

BTW... Our little pep band was just as loud as their entire band, which was four times as big. Suckasses!!!!

Full paid to go to McNeese, even pocketed some money. I have rooted for LSU as long as I can remember, not about to change that because I don't attend class there.

Agreed. I attended LSU, but graduated at Southeastern and I would not root against the Lions if they played LSU even though the score would be like 65-0. It would just be a little awkward to root against them.

+1000 I have always been an LSU fan growing up, and still support LSU, but for this game, despite the fact we will get the hell beat out of us, I am going to be wearing Blue & Gold. Geaux Pokes.

Being from the area, the only time i would go to a McNeese game is when LSU had a road game or LSU had a bye

McNeese fans.... Pretty sure they are all Tiger fans first. Or at least the vast majority. Everyone in this state grew up loving the Tigers first and foremost

You underestimate the amount of rich people in LC who would tell LSU to frick off in a heartbeat. We have some die hards, and we have some die hards with a lot of fricking money.

I will be wearing my McNeese State hat proudly with my LSU polo to share the love.

I don't think LSU fans know how well McNeese travels. There will be a sea of blue all around the stadium....
