No. My argument is Jobert is a more productive offensive player than Gio. And what you get with Gio’s defense doesn’t make up for it. And clearly, Jay Johnson agrees.
I think Gio is the 4th OF on this team. I don’t want to take any of the guys out of the lineup, but some of y’all are hell bent on it for some reason. I merely said that Dugas was the better option to take out—not permanently, maybe once a week or 2–because Gio is left-handed and may match up better against certain RH starters than Dugas. The only change I really want to see made is to swap Jobert and Berry. Anything beyond that, y’all have made up.
But I’m done with this. I don’t want to get in a position where I’m having to shite on Gio to prove my point. I know I’m right. Y’all think you are. Let’s move on.

They just aren’t hitting their stride, which is ok at this point in the year. The good news is most of their problems can be solved and there is potential everywhere

I agree with that. But we are past the point of a one or two game slump where “it’s just baseball” is an excuse. This is a trend.
There is no reason to not have faith in Johnson, but we have to be honest about the current state of affairs.

I’m not talking about Jobert vs Gio. You said if Gio was to get reps, you would take Dugas out of the lineup instead of Jobert. I’m saying if Gio were to get reps I would take Jobert out of the lineup instead of Dugas.
In my opinion Crews, Morgan, Doughty, Berry, and Dugas should be in the lineup every game unless you are purposefully giving them rest. Others I would consider taking out in order to get other guys reps.

Eh, agree to disagree. This team has a lot of new players and an entirely new coaching staff, so they are still figuring out who does what well and who they can trust in what situations.
Players are also just getting their feet wet this early in the season.
Many LSU teams started slow and then won 20 SEC games… I think this team has that potential
