McMillan and Burrrow take another step closer to playing against Miami

Just as predicted by others in the know, McMillan and Burrow appear one step closer to playing against Miami. Taking another look at the stats, both Burrow and McMillan were efficient passing, which is critical if the running back position is your weakest link and wide receivers are your strongest.
Justin McMillan 8/13, 83 yards, long of 30
• Myles Brennan 5/10, 94 yards, long of 36
• Lowell Narcisse 6/14, 122 yards, 1 touchdown, long of 40
• Joe Burrow, 7/13, 118 yards, long of 37
Rushing
• Chris Curry, 16 carries, 43 yards
• Nick Brossette, 10 carries, 36 yards
• Clyde Edwards-Helaire, 9 carries, 17 yards
Also, I was reminded that LSU's Defense in 2018 is so much more powerful and stronger overall as a unit than in recent past, that any stats by the offense will probably be misleading. LSU's QB's not only have to figure out this new offense and which are your best skill players to deliver the ball to, but also figure out how to crack an impenetrable LSU Defense that will be LSU's rock of achievement going forward. Eventually LSU's offensive unit will figure itself out, with so much talent available, that includes at QB.
No worries about a Troy type mental lapse with this bunch on LSU's defense. These are exciting times. Now you can go back to your ranting.

McMillan is smart, and poised. I have been wanting to see him work since he has been here.

Right, because last preseason at this time the defense was supposed to be awful.

As funny as this may sound, Justin reminds me of Jalen Hurts but with better passes

Good kid.
With that said. If we start him lsu fans will understand what the 90's were like. We might go 6-6

I just dont like McMillan. Dude looks like a repeat of JJ and Harris.
I dont like the balls thrown at the knees and the reliance on the 5 yard dingers all the time. We need shots down the field to get kids out of the box.

Last year LSU didn’t know who was starting on defense, Key was out.

These stats are probably fake but since you are using them for your argument, you do realize that McMillan threw for 83 yards on 13 attempts? What is your definition of efficiency? 6.38 yds per attempt isn't even close to being my definition of efficiency.

Stop shitting McMillan, and these TIGERS down!!

My takeaway from the “stats” is we completed some long passes, or there was some serious YAC.
YPC was very high. My guess is that all the QBs were asked to push the ball downfield.
Could have something to do with the low completion %, or they just aren’t super accurate.

How many were converted first downs? Context matters and we have none. Narcisse hadthe worst comlpletion % yet threw the most passes.
Like you said, who knows how real these stats are. Receiving yards don’t reconcile to passing yards. Didn’t see any QB rushing stats? You know all of them except maybe Brennan will have designed runs.
There is only so much you can glean from raw stats.

RAIN! This was a great outing in the rain for our qbs.

Macmillan reminds me of a taller bigger Pat White

He reminds me of a less athletic and more pet friendly version of Mike Vick.
