I’ve never sucked at my job, but would think that he and I would come to the conclusion together…and I would have enough pride to openly question my ability to the job I was hired to do.

If you sucked at your job, would you tell your boss to fire you?
Well, in a way, I have.
I had a government contractor job that I was awful at. Just had no idea how to do it. (It wasn't a cookie-cutter "do this, then that, then that' type job; it required some knowledge and skills that I just didn't have.)
Our office had two contracts, and the company lost the one I was not working on. So, I wasn't on the cut list. However, since I was so bad and hated being so incompetent, I went to the boss and said "It would be a great injustice for anyone else to lose their job while I keep mine."
Yes, my next job didn't pay as much. But, I could sleep at night.

Not once have I heard this guy admit he doesn’t belong coaching at this level and not once has he taken responsibility for such a terrible product.
I have never heard any coach make such a suicidal statement in any sport. WTF are you thinking. May be true but no coach is going to ever say that...

Spurrier was old and retired. That's apples and oranges to what's going on with McMahon No middle-aged coach with a family is going to willingly quit and walk away from millions of dollars.
I don't disagree with you. You asked a simple question and I provided an answer. I wasn't disagreeing with your point just saying it happened at least one time in history that I could recall.
