Who out there is going to get 20-30mil at LSU basketball? Why can’t you answer, it’s your assertion. You can’t back it up?

TAF is a corporation. I can assure you (using your own words) they know exactly where that money is coming from, when it's coming, and that you're not going to spend that money on something else. This isn't just hearsay, this is called budgeting.

you don't just "hope and pray" that 7 million dollars will be there when it has to be paid out. You have to have that money committed. They didn't hire Kelly without knowing 10 million a year was committed and would be there the next 10 years.

You are so fricking stupid that there’s no way it doesn’t hurt. And you don’t know shite about how an athletic department’s finances work.

How much are you contributing to his buyout?

Why are you asking people about their contributions to mcmahon’s buyout if your position is that a school has to already have the entirety of a coach’s contract “committed” in order to hire him in the first place?

Even if he wanted to come here, LSU wouldn't make enough revenue this year to pay his annual salary because no one goes to the games.

You are too stupid to even know the difference between paid attendance and actual attendance. Or that the majority of basketball revenue for all major schools comes from revenue sharing of the tournament tv contracts.

Does this guy have the ability to evaluate SEC caliber talent because apparently on this team he doesn’t have many players who would start for other SEC teams.

He should have been canned after his 1st season. Under no circumstances should he still be coaching in his 3rd season.

His teams consistently play with awful fundamentals, have zero basketball iq, run no plays, and tend to completely give up and show zero effort for long stretches of games. This ain’t a “jimmy’s and joes” issue as much as it is an “x’s and o’s” problem. Having less talent should never be an excuse for not playing hard or using proper technique and situational awareness.

This stuff was identified 5 games into conference play his first season, and all 3 of his teams have looked identical. Dude should have been shown the door YEARS ago.

The only reason that I can fathom why he’s still here is an inability by the AD to admit that they f$&ked up firing Will Wade. Even if firing Wade was the right move, retaining McMahon is destroying the program. Stubbornly clinging to him just makes everyone involved look even more incompetent.

Nobody is going to fire their head coach after 1 year when they haven’t completely rebuild a team. It’s easier to say it in retrospect, but at the time, no way.

Yes, yes you do. If your team is struggling because they’re undermanned, that’s one thing. If they’re showing poor coaching, no motivation, bad fundamentals, and awful scheme, that’s another. Those things aren’t fixed by recruiting classes. A truly generational player can mask those deficiencies temporarily, but typically, your program is only going to get worse the longer you allow bad coaching to manifest a bad culture.

It’s even less excusable in basketball where the portal allows you to completely reboot a program and recycle an entire roster in one offseason.

If he has shown improvement each year, give him time. But they seem to be getting worse. Time to live on.
