MM is a x and o guy and Wade is just a street baller.
The Mcmen always have a dumb wrong narrative.

It’s mind boggling. You can look at the record, it’s awful but when you look at how we play, what’s his teams identity? Are we up tempo, trying to score a bunch? Do we play good D, aggressive, hustling, tenacious? Do we control the glass, do we bang the offensive boards? Do we pressure teams? Do we use analytics and the 3 ball? Are we big, are we athletic? Do we lean on guard play? Do we play through the forwards? Is there a yes to any of those questions?
I feel like he lost his identity when he came to LSU. I did not watch much Murray State basketball. I have it in my head that he played a guard-centric game there with smaller but athletic forwards/centers and aggressive defense, though I don't really know if that is based in reality or just my old brain mash somethings together and thinking that is McMahon.
Here, I kind of felt like last season, he was pushing to play through the forwards, specifically one forward, Reed. Then Reed was out, and the team immediately staggered. This season, it seemed he was more balanced with both guard and forward (Reed again) play, with a real PG actually running an offense trying to score quickly and often. Not sure that would have held up in SEC play, but losing both of those guys upended that.
And there is part of the rub, no contingency at all. I get you are gonna lose more games if you lose your top two players, but this is just so freaking bad, and he has no goodwill from the fans to fall back on because this just looks like every other season, so is it really losing those two guys or just more of the same?
OK rant over.
