Yea it’s possible but he’s a bombastic personality that doesn’t really buy into all the extra silliness Texas loves. I don’t think he’d step on toes but they may step on his.

I pray he doesn't go to Texas. I hope UT does well in NCAA tournament so they retain Gus Terry.
With all of UT's money and resources, Wade could create a monster there that will haunt LSU for years. Fingers crossed he doesn't take a job at any in SEC school.

If they make the dance I don’t think they’ll fire Terry. Might be wrong, just a gut feeling.

No reality is WE suck at MBB, reality is we’re retaining a horrible coach, reality is over the last 3 years we’re the worst team in the SEC. Reality is SW is teflon and can’t be touched because he’s fooled the public that all McLoser needs is $$, if you were a All SEC talent why in the f..k would you come to LSU. Near future is the Coach that the McLosers hate is going to show up at a SEC school and have success. Reality is that Fat donut eating AD is letting his ego override his decision to hire WW back. Reality is if WW was hired today w/ legal NIL $$$ LSU would automatically be an instant buzz in the Basketball world. Recruits would flock here with excitement, these guys would love to play for LSU & WW. Reality is McCantWin can’t talk the talk or walk the walk. Check the gosh damn receipts & facts. They are there staring you misguided McLosers square in your stupid faces.

I have followed lsu sports for 60 years and it amazes me how ignorant many fans are about the politics involved when hiring and firing a coach.if you think the ad has complete control over this process you don’t know lsu.if the president ,Bo’s,taf,etc don’t agree with a hire much less a contract their offered lt a NO GO.Scott Woodward can’t act on his own period.Since he is the AD he will take all the heat when things go south but he does what he is told to do,this is LSUpolitics after all.I understand we all need somebody to blame but a lot of decisions come from the top. If you don’t believe me go look at the history of LSU athletics from the days of Huey Long ,John McKithen etc .and you will find out what I’m talking about.

I think UT sealed a bid with the A&M win yesterday, as long as they're competitive with Tennessee today and don't get blown out.

They’re all DEAD just like LSU MBB program and the grave keeps getting deeper. Maybe McLoser like Huey Long has dirt on all those you listed or maybe it’s just money is involved like anything else in the universe. If I was a Billionaire ie Phil Knight and LSU MBB was my main objective in life, I could get McLoser out, pay the buyout, give all the $$$$ to hire who I wanted with a ridiculous contract backed by my wallet, it would happen. Since we don’t have a Billionaire or multimillionaire that gives a sht about MBB at LSU we’re stuck with McLoser, SW, and the rest of the politics that have made us the Last place joke of the SEC. If CBK falls as fast as McLoser has in bball, he would be shown the door quickly, WHY you ask because Football is the MONEY Maker.

Why can't people understand this. They've already come out & said he's coming back, yet people are still thinking like he might get fired.
I'd like him to get fired, but they've already said that isn't happening.

Agreed, which is why they need to get an NIT bid so that McMahon and Woodward are put in an uncomfortable spot, especially Woodward, who is attempting to avoid responsibility for his self-inflected error tanking the program. Don’t think this changes anything either, but smug Woodward needs to be ridiculed for his hubris.

1. McMahon stays, gets a couple nice transfers, finishes 5th in the league next year, wins one game in the tournament. this calms us a bit and we start to have at least a little bit of hope.
2. wade goes to NC st and wins two nattys in the next decade and ascends to UConn level of success. state becomes an NBA factory where players seek out wade for his training to get the into the lottery. we are sad about what could have been.
the quicker we accept that this is the future the better

Preface: I love WW and wish LSU would hire him back. Unfortunately, chances of that are less than 1%, IMO.
No bigtime program is going to hire WW this season. Its too soon, IMO. WW's best shot at getting a P4 conference job will be in 2026 or even 2027.
